FAQ about this model
What concrete does the NT-11 need?
A level, cured concrete floor a minimum of 4 inches thick and rated at least 3,000 PSI. Do not install on asphalt, over expansion joints, outdoors, or on a second floor over a basement.
What electrical service does the NT-11 require?
The column-mounted power unit runs on 220V single-phase service at 60 Hz and needs a dedicated 30-amp circuit. Have a certified electrician make the hook-up so the install complies with local code.
How much ceiling height do I need for this lift?
The floor-plate design has no overhead crossbar, so the tallest fixed point is the 116-inch column, about 9 feet 8 inches. Plan for the column height plus the tallest vehicle raised to working height, and keep heaters, building supports and electrical lines out of the way.
What does asymmetric mean on the NT-11?
The two front arms are shorter three-piece double-telescoping arms and the two rear arms are longer two-piece single-telescoping arms. That sets the vehicle rearward of the column centerline so the doors open clear of the posts when you load and unload.
How much weight can the NT-11 lift, and how is it distributed?
Rated capacity is 11,000 lb, distributed at 2,750 lb per arm pad across all four arms. The lift is designed to raise the entire vehicle on all four pads β never use it to raise only one end or one corner.
What comes in the box with the NT-11?
Two columns with carriages, the drive-over base plate, two hydraulic cylinders, the electric-hydraulic power unit, four asymmetric swing arms with rubber pads and pad holders, 1-1/2" arm pins, rack-and-gear arm restraints, equalizer cables and chains, hydraulic hoses, a set of stackable steel truck adapters, floor anchors (3/4" Γ 5-1/2") and mounting hardware, and the installation and operation manual.
Is installation included, or do I install it myself?
Installation is not included in the base price. The supplied manual covers site layout, anchor-bolt installation, power-unit mounting, cable routing, hydraulic hook-up and test run, and Triumph notes the lift can typically be assembled by two people in a few hours. Many shop owners install in-house, and third-party installation is also common.
How does the NT-11 ship, and do I need to unload it?
It ships freight on an LTL common carrier on a 48-foot semi truck at a 1,550 lb shipping weight, and you are responsible for unloading β the driver will not unload it and lift-gate service is not available for auto lifts. Plan for a forklift, Bobcat, tractor, tow truck or backhoe, or have the lift routed to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup. You schedule the delivery appointment with the freight company.
