Abaco Vacuum Lifters: How the Families Differ

Vacuum lifting is the largest part of the line, and the model prefix tells you the intended mounting and duty. The DVL series — DVL400, DVL480, DVL500 and DVL1000 — is the core crane-mounted range, with the DVL1000-Pro adding dual independent vacuum systems so vacuum integrity is retained if one system faults. The AVL series (AVL480, AVL500, AVL600) and the CVL600 sit alongside it. The SVL series (SVL50, SVL100) covers smaller stone handling, and the AMSVL100 multi stone vacuum lifter and AQVL200 QLI lifter extend that. For rotation, the ARVL500 rotary vacuum lifter tilts loads between horizontal and vertical. The AFPVL300 forklift power vacuum lifter mounts to a truck instead of a hook, and the MVGL150 manual vacuum grip lifter is a hand-carried option with no power source.

Choose by three things in order: the heaviest slab you will lift, whether the lifter hangs from a crane or mounts to a forklift, and whether the load has to rotate. Model numbers frequently encode the rating — the AMITC400 cart is rated 400 kg (880 lb) — but confirm the figure on the individual product page rather than reading it from the name. When a vacuum lifter is rigged below a crane hook, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers standard ASME B30.20 governs below-the-hook lifting devices, including vacuum lifting devices.

Slab Transport and Storage

A-frames are split across two groups in our catalog — 12 general A-frames and 16 transport A-frames built to travel. The AHDSA100 heavy duty double side A-frame loads from both faces, the OSA7267-2T-M2 bi-level A-frame stacks two levels of material, the FOSA11872 folding one-stop A-frame collapses when not loaded, and the AMDST9076 multi adjustable dropside truck A-frame is configured for truck beds. For over-the-road work there are the AMPT9743 heavy multi-purpose transport trailer and the AMUT119 heavy duty multi-utility transport trailer.

On the storage side, the AHMCBR8970 heavy-duty multi-material bundle rack is a 9-in-1 configuration and is also offered in an M2 revision. For yard and shop movement, the 19 trolleys and buggies include the AOGTC11879 oversized glass transport cart, the AMITC400 multi material installation panel transport cart with an integrated vacuum lifter, and the AEWC450-M2 EZ-Pro winch cart. Container work is handled by the ACBSL5T-M2 container bundle slab loader, rated for an estimated 5 metric tons (11,023 lb) and designed to be run on standard forklift trucks with a dual-tube and chain stabilization system.

Fabrication Shop, Installation and Site Equipment

Beyond handling, Abaco covers the fabrication and installation side. Countertop tools and tables include the APKIC7040 and APKIC7040-Pro power kitchen installation carts, the PKPT6340-Pro power kitchen processing table, and the APFT7422 dual polished flip table. Clamps and bars support layout and assembly, including the AMSC miter set clamp for holding mitered edges. Cutting is covered by the MODS1 and TS1 stone saws.

Overhead lifting includes the CAC50 column articulate jib crane, offered as CAC50-4M, CAC50-5M and CAC50-6M, and the AEAC500/1000 easy adjustable crane. Forklift attachments include the ATPSF35 TPS 3-in-1 forklift boom, and the ARMS1200 rotary motor shackle handles rotating rigging. For shop water, the ASDM114 and ASDM114-G sludge dehydrator machines filter water from stone processing at up to 8 m³/hour down to greater than 80 micrometers using replaceable bag filters, an automatic pump and a caster-mounted water tray; the ADE089 dehydrator is a further option.

Second, several products are sold as a designation covering multiple sizes — CAC50-4M/5M/6M is one listing, AEAC500/1000 another — so confirm which variant you are quoting.
