Spot welding dent pullers pull dents in steel body panels from the outside, with no need to cut access holes or remove the panel. This collection carries two Katool spot welders, both $289: the KT-90EPRO Pro Dent Puller, listed at 0–3500A adjustable output on 220V, and the KT-90E for auto body dent repair and sheet metal work.

View full detailsA spot welding dent puller is a resistance welder: it passes a short, high-amperage pulse through an electrode into the panel, fusing a stud, washer or wavy wire to the outside of the steel. A slide hammer or pull bar then draws the low spot back to contour, and the attachment is twisted off and the nub ground flush. Because the work happens entirely from the outside, you can address a quarter panel, rocker or door skin without cutting an access hole or stripping interior trim — the main reason body shops keep one on the bench alongside hammer-and-dolly work.
Both Katool machines here are specified for automotive steel body panels. Resistance pulling is not a method for aluminum skins, and it does not replace panel replacement where metal is torn, badly stretched or rusted through. Surface prep drives the result: the contact area has to be ground to clean bare metal and the ground clamp placed on solid, unpainted structure, or the welds tear out mid-pull.
Both units are $289, so the decision is about control and published specification rather than budget. The Katool Pro Dent Puller 3500A (KT-90EPRO) lists 220V / 50–60Hz input, 0–3500A adjustable output, and overheat and overload protection. The adjustable output matters when you move between thin outer skins and heavier gauge, and the protection circuit is worth having where pulls are repeated back to back. The Katool KT-90E is specified with manual spot welding control, a user-friendly panel and industrial-grade construction, aimed at automotive body shops and repair centers. Its listing does not publish an input voltage or output current, so confirm the electrical requirement with us before you commit a circuit to it.
Plan the power before the machine arrives: the KT-90EPRO needs a 220V supply, which in most shops means a dedicated circuit rather than a shared bench outlet, sized by an electrician to the machine nameplate. OSHA 1910.252 sets the general requirements for welding, cutting and brazing, covering fire prevention, protective equipment and ventilation, and ANSI Z49.1, Safety in Welding, Cutting, and Allied Processes, is the consensus standard shops reference for welding practice. On late-model vehicles, disconnect the battery and check the OEM repair procedure before welding near electronic modules or restraint components.
