Single-phase hoists run on standard shop power and suit facilities without three-phase service. What's the difference between a push, geared, and motorized trolley?

Do you have three-phase power at the lift point?

If your building has three-phase service, a three-phase hoist gives you higher duty cycles and dual-speed options for precise spotting. Without it, choose a single-phase hoist that runs on standard shop power, or a manual chain hoist where no power reaches the point at all.

Do you need to move the load sideways, not just up?

If loads travel along a beam, pick a hoist-and-trolley package or add a trolley to your hoist. Push and geared trolleys move loads by hand; a motorized trolley powers heavy or frequent horizontal moves so crews aren't muscling the load.
