Tire changer and wheel balancer combo sets let a shop buy both halves of a wheel service bay as one matched package instead of piecing machines together later. This collection carries 37 Katool tire machine combo sets priced from $1,799 to $6,099, pairing changers including the KT-T800, KT-T810, KT-T830, KT-T835, KT-T850, KT-T900 and KT-T160 with KT-B700, KT-B750, KT-B760 and KT-B795L balancers. Compare the sets on rim clamping range, maximum wheel diameter, bead breaker style, and the compressed air and electrical service your building already has before you narrow the list.

A combo set is the two machines a wheel service bay cannot work without: a tire changer that breaks the bead and mounts or demounts the tire, and a wheel balancer that spins the assembled wheel and shows the technician where weight is needed. Buying them together forces the two capacities to be considered as a pair, which is where separate purchases most often go wrong — a changer that clamps a large rim is no help if the balancer beside it cannot spin the same wheel. Every set in this collection is Katool, and both model numbers appear in the product title, so you can see exactly which changer is paired with which balancer before you order. Several sets are listed with mounting adaptors in the title; where adaptors matter to you, buy the listing that names them rather than assuming.
Start with the largest and smallest wheels you actually service, not the ones you hope to service. Two numbers do most of the work: the clamping range (the rim sizes the turntable jaws will grip from the inside and from the outside) and the maximum overall wheel diameter the machine will accept with the tire mounted. A rim that falls inside the clamp range can still be too tall overall once a taller-sidewall tire is on it, so check both. Bead breaker style matters next — a pneumatic side bead breaker handles routine passenger and light truck work, while leverless designs are aimed at shops seeing more low-profile, stiff-sidewall and alloy wheels where a mount/demount lever is the main source of rim damage. Within this collection, one listing is a KT-T900 Leverless Tire Changer combo, and another KT-T900 set is listed at 47″ capacity, while several KT-T830 and KT-T800 sets are listed at 41″.
Published specifications for two of the changers in this collection:
| Specification | KT-T830 | KT-T835 |
|---|---|---|
| Motor power | 2.0 HP / 1.5 kW | 2 HP / 1.5 kW |
| Power supply | 110 V / 1 Ph | 110–120 V / 1 Ph |
| Inside clamp range | 14″–24″ | 14″–24″ |
| Outside clamp range | 12″–22″ | 12″–22″ |
| Max wheel diameter | 41″ | Up to 41″ / 1040 mm |
| Wheel width range | Not listed | Up to 15″ / 380 mm |
| Air pressure requirement | 0.8–1.0 MPa | 0.8–1.0 MPa |
The KT-T850 takes a different approach: it is a tilt-arm design with a self-centering wheel clamp, a 2 HP electric drive, a pneumatic side bead breaker, foot pedal and manual controls, and a heavy-duty steel frame, and it is described for passenger and light commercial vehicles. Specifications differ by model, so read the individual product page for the exact set you are considering rather than assuming the table above carries across the whole collection.
The balancers in these combos are the KT-B700, KT-B750, KT-B760 and KT-B795L. The KT-B760 is published with a maximum rim diameter of 30 in or less, a wheel width range of 3 in to 12 in, and a maximum wheel diameter of 880 mm (34.64 in) or less. Compare that ceiling against the changer it is paired with — if the changer will accept a 41″ overall wheel but the balancer tops out lower, the balancer is your real limit for the largest assemblies you can complete in-house. The KT-B795L appears in a single pairing with the KT-T160 changer, so treat that set as its own configuration rather than a variant of the others. Beyond capacity, the practical differences between balancer grades are how much of the wheel data is entered by hand versus measured automatically, and how quickly the machine settles on a weight position — both of which show up as minutes per wheel once volume rises.
Compressed air is the requirement buyers underestimate. The KT-T830 and KT-T835 both specify 0.8–1.0 MPa; size the compressor for sustained supply at that pressure, not just peak, and put a water separator ahead of the machine, because moisture carried into pneumatic bead breakers and cylinders is a common cause of premature wear. Electrically, both of those changers are listed as single-phase at 110 V (the KT-T835 at 110–120 V), which suits shops without three-phase service, but confirm the listing for the specific set you buy and give each machine a dedicated circuit. For layout, plan the bay so a mounted wheel can be rolled between changer and balancer without lifting it over anything, and leave clearance behind the changer for the arm to swing or tilt through its full travel with a wheel loaded. Also budget for the consumables the machines assume you have: wheel weights in the styles you use, valve cores and stems, bead lubricant, and plastic inserts or protectors for alloy rims.
OSHA 1910.177 covers the servicing of single-piece and multi-piece rim wheels on trucks, buses and off-road vehicles and requires employee training and a restraining device or cage for inflation; by its own terms it does not apply to servicing rim wheels used on automobiles or on pickup trucks and vehicles using automobile tires or LT-designated truck tires, which is the work these passenger and light commercial machines are aimed at. That exclusion is not permission to skip procedure. OSHA 1910.147 requires lockout/tagout when servicing or maintaining machines where unexpected energization or release of stored energy could injure someone, so isolate both electrical and air supply before adjusting a bead breaker or turntable. OSHA 1910.212 requires machine guarding generally. On the bench, the rules that prevent most injuries are simple: never inflate beyond the pressure marked on the tire sidewall, keep hands and body out of the trajectory while seating a bead, and inspect the rim and bead area before mounting. Train every operator on the specific machine — controls and pedal behavior differ between tilt-arm and leverless changers.
Sets in this collection span $1,799 to $6,099. What moves a set up that range is capacity and mechanism: larger accepted wheel diameters, leverless or assist-equipped changer designs, higher-grade balancers, and bundled mounting adaptors. Match the spend to duty cycle rather than to the largest wheel you might ever see. A shop doing occasional seasonal changeovers is served by a different set than one turning wheels all day, where cycle time and rim protection pay back quickly. Total cost also includes installation, air supply capacity, adaptors for the wheel types you handle, and operator training time — factor those in before comparing two sets on sticker price alone.
