Mini skid steer dozer blades are for grading, backfilling and pushing dirt — work a bucket does slowly and in short bites. This collection is a single unit: the Loflin Fabrication Mini Skid Steer Dozer Blade at $1,308, with a 48" working width, a 3/16" steel frame and a bolt-on reversible cutting edge. Below the listing you will find sizing, mounting and hydraulic notes for mini skid steer dirt blades.

View full detailsA bucket carries material; a blade moves it. Mini skid steer dirt blades push spoil, backfill trenches, spread driveway stone, cut grade on a slope and pull material back toward the machine in reverse. Because the blade sits ahead of the loader arms on a pivot, you can angle it and windrow material off to one side instead of piling everything straight ahead — that is why a blade finishes site cleanup and rough grading in fewer passes than a bucket. The trade-off is real: a blade will not load a truck or lift material, so most contractors run one alongside a bucket, not instead of it.
One unit, one brand. Verified specifications:
| Loflin Fabrication Mini Skid Steer Dozer Blade | $1,308 |
|---|---|
| Working width | 48" wide (available 48" to 72") |
| Blade height | 17" tall |
| Frame | 3/16" thick steel |
| Cutting edge | 5/8" thick x 6" wide bolt-on, reversible steel |
| Optional rubber edge | 1-1/2" x 10" |
| Pivot cylinder | 2-inch bore x 10-inch stroke hydraulic |
Two details matter in daily use. The cutting edge is bolt-on and reversible, so when one side dulls you flip it and eventually swap it out with hand tools instead of torching and welding a worn edge off the moldboard. The optional rubber edge is what you want over finished concrete, asphalt or pavers, where a steel edge gouges. The hydraulic pivot cylinder lets you change blade angle from the seat rather than climbing off to pull pins.
Start with width. A blade should cover at least the track or tire width of the loader, or you drive over the material you just pushed; the 48" width suits most compact walk-behind and stand-on units, and wider builds up to 72" are available where you are moving volume on open ground. Next, confirm the attachment plate matches your machine — mini loader mounts are not universal across every brand. Finally, the pivot cylinder needs an auxiliary hydraulic circuit at the mount; check that your loader has one and what flow it delivers. On construction sites, OSHA 1926.602 covers earthmoving equipment and requires seat belts on machines within its scope.
