What Arrow MHP Builds — and What Vovlift Stocks

Arrow MHP is a material handling products manufacturer, and the part of its output we carry is narrow on purpose: forklift forks built to Industrial Truck Association (ITA) carriage standards. All 10 active listings on this page are fork pairs — there is no attachment, mast or accessory line mixed in. That focus is useful when you are comparing quotes, because every listing here is directly comparable on the same four variables: mounting class, blade thickness, rated capacity at a 24″ load center, and whether the blade is standard or fully tapered and polished. How the Range Is Structured

Two families cover the catalog.

Standard ITA forklift forks make up most of what we stock. These are hook-mount blades offered in ITA Class II, Class II–III, Class III and Class IV, fully heat-treated, with a matte black corrosion-resistant finish. Listed sections include 2 in, and rated capacities in this family run from the 1,600–2,100 lb listings up through 3,000 lb, 8,000 lb, a 10,000 lb Class III, a 12,500 lb 2 in, and a 21,000 lb Class IV set. This is the family to look at for general warehouse, yard and heavy industrial work, where blade finish matters less than steel section and correct carriage fit.

Fully tapered and polished ITA forks are the second family, offered in 1.5 in thickness rated 6,400 lb–16,200 lb and 1.75 in thickness rated 6,600 lb–11,600 lb, both at a 24″ load center. The blade tapers along its length and the surface is polished. The practical effect is easier entry into tight pallet openings and less drag when sliding under a load. That matters most in high-cycle distribution work, where an operator enters pallets hundreds of times a shift, and on tight-stacked or damage-sensitive freight.

Picking Between Them

Start with the carriage, not the capacity. ITA class is set by your truck, not by your load: measure the vertical distance between the upper and lower carriage bars and match the class Arrow MHP lists. A Class III fork will not hang correctly on a Class II carriage, and ratings do not transfer between classes. Our listings state the class explicitly — Class II, Class II–III, Class III, Class IV — so it is a filter you can apply before comparing anything else.

Then check rated capacity against your actual load. Every capacity figure in this catalog is quoted at a 24″ load center; if your loads sit deeper than that, the usable capacity of the fork falls and you need to size up. Fork capacity also has to be read alongside the truck's own rated capacity — the combination is only as strong as the weaker half.

Thickness is the last variable. Where two options both clear your capacity requirement, the heavier section (2 in over 1.75 in over 1.5 in) buys wear life, and the lighter section buys pallet entry clearance and less dead weight on the carriage. The fully tapered 1.5 in and 1.75 in blades are the compromise most distribution operations settle on.

Materials and Duty Level

Arrow MHP specifies high-strength boron-carbon steel on several standard listings, high-strength forged steel on the 2 in / 12,500 lb fork, and high-strength alloy or heat-treated steel on the tapered and polished family. The standard listings are fully heat-treated and finished in corrosion-resistant matte black; the tapered family carries a polished surface instead. The application language in the product data is a fair guide to duty level: it reads "industrial and warehouse material handling" on the mid-capacity forks and "heavy industrial and warehouse use" on the Class IV 21,000 lb set. Use that when deciding whether a fork is sized for intermittent dock work or continuous production handling.

Ownership, Inspection and Freight

Hook-mount ITA forks hang on the carriage, so there is no assembly on arrival beyond seating the blades and locking the pins. Pricing across the range runs $631 to $2,699, tracking section thickness and rated capacity more than anything else. Forks move by freight; thickness, length and capacity drive the shipping weight, so confirm your site can receive an LTL delivery and unload it.

Forks are a wear item and an inspected one. OSHA's powered industrial truck standard requires trucks to be examined before each shift and taken out of service when they are not in safe operating condition, and ASME B56.1 sets safety requirements for low- and high-lift industrial trucks, including fork inspection criteria. In practice that means checking heel wear, cracks at the heel and hook, blade-to-shank angle and tip height difference between the two blades. Replace in pairs, not singly.
