Compact tractor forks turn a loader or three-point hitch into a material handler. This collection carries two Loflin Fabrication attachments: compact tractor pallet forks in standard Class 2 with 36", 42" and 48" tine lengths, and a compact tractor hayspear rated 3,000 lbs standard, up to 4,500 lbs on select models. View full detailsTwo jobs, two tools. The Loflin Fabrication Compact Tractor Pallet Forks use 1 3/8" thick x 4" wide solid forged alloy steel tines, available in 36", 42" and 48" lengths, with adjustable spacing on a CNC-machined carriage bar with multiple locking positions and a 1/4" plate steel fork guard. They are standard Class 2 forks and mount to a three-point hitch/quick-hitch or a common quick coupler. That is the setup for pallets, crates, banded block and bundled lumber.
The Loflin Fabrication Compact Tractor Hayspear is a different geometry for a different load. A solid forged main spear and a solid forged stabilizer spear, both replaceable, ride on 3" square steel tubing, with spear length from 40" to 52" and customizable, multi-tine and configurable spear options. It is rated 3,000 lbs standard and up to 4,500 lbs on select models, with an optional powder-coated finish. Spears penetrate and carry a bale; flat tines tend to tear and drop one.
The attachment rating is a ceiling, not a promise. What you can actually lift is set by your loader or three-point hitch capacity, your rear ballast and your tire and ground conditions, and that number falls as the load center moves outboard, which is exactly what happens when you step from 36" tines to 48". Confirm the mounting interface before you buy: ASABE S217 and ISO 730 define the three-point hitch categories, and quick couplers vary by loader maker, so a compact tractor forks purchase should start with your machine's hitch category and coupler style.
OSHA 29 CFR 1928.51 requires rollover protective structures and seat belts on covered agricultural tractors, and a raised load on a loader shifts the tipping line forward, so ballast and low travel height matter more with forks than with a bucket. ANSI/ITSDF B56.1 governs fork inspection and removal-from-service criteria on powered industrial trucks; the same discipline applies here. Check tines for cracks, bending and wear at the heel, verify the carriage locks are seated before lifting, and never rig chains or slings off tine tips.
