Product Overview
In short
The Triumph NT-9C is a 9,000 lb two-post floor plate lift that routes its equalization cables and hydraulic hose along the floor instead of over an overhead crossbar, so it works in shops and garages that can't take a tall overhead lift. It ships with a 220V power unit and 3 HP motor, truck adapters, and floor mounting hardware.

Floor plate design for low-ceiling garages

The NT-9C is a floor plate lift, which means the equalization cables and hydraulic hose run through a plate on the ground between the two columns rather than across an overhead crossbar. That removes the overhead structure entirely, so the only fixed dimension above the vehicle is the 111-inch column height. An overhead-style two-post lift generally needs twelve-plus feet of ceiling; this one does not. The tradeoff is the plate itself, which sits between the posts and gets driven over on the way in. To check fit, measure your ceiling against the 111-inch overall height plus the height of the tallest vehicle you plan to raise, and confirm you have floor space for the 132-inch overall width.

Arms, reach, and working heights

Each column carries three-stage front swing arms that telescope in and out to reach pickup points on a wide variety of cars, trucks, and SUVs. The arms use screw-up rubber pads, and truck adapters ship in the crate to raise pad height for higher-clearance pickups and SUVs. The lift rises to a 72-inch lifting height in 40 seconds and settles to a 4.5-inch lowered height, low enough to roll a vehicle over the arms. Drive-thru width is 96 inches, measured between the arms at floor level, while the 106-inch width between posts is measured up at vehicle mirror height. Those two numbers answer different questions β€” use the 96-inch figure when you are checking whether a wide vehicle can drive in.

Power, concrete, and installation

The NT-9C includes its 220V power unit and 3 HP motor, so you supply 220V service to the column rather than sourcing a pump separately. The power unit has a start button and a manual lowering lever. Anchoring is the other half of the job: Triumph rates the lift for installation on 3,000 PSI concrete, so confirm your slab meets that rating and check its thickness and condition before drilling. Floor mounting hardware and an installation manual ship with the lift. The manual is specific about sequence β€” do not drill the anchor holes until the cables and hoses are in place and the floor cover has been used to confirm the posts are the correct distance apart. Note that the NT-9C has a dual-point lock release but no electric safety shutoff.

Freight delivery and unloading

Shipping is free to the lower 48. The lift crates at about 1,303 lb and moves LTL freight on a 48-foot semi, which has two practical consequences. First, the driver does not unload it, and liftgate service is not available for auto lifts β€” you need a forklift, tractor, Bobcat, tow truck, or similar machinery on site to take the crate off the truck. Second, if you can't unload where you are, the shipment can be routed to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup with a trailer or moving van, and you schedule that appointment with the freight company directly. Either way, plan the 48-foot truck's approach before delivery day. The NT-9C carries a 1-year parts warranty β€” parts only, no labor.

Key features

  • Floor plate design β€” cables and hydraulic hose run along the floor between the columns instead of an overhead crossbar, so the lift fits under a low ceiling.
  • Three-stage front arms β€” telescoping swing arms reach pickup points across a wide range of cars, trucks, and SUVs.
  • 72" lifting height, 4.5" lowered height β€” clears tall work underneath, and the arms tuck low enough to roll a vehicle over them.
  • Dual-point lock release β€” drops the column safety locks on both posts together.
  • 220V power unit and 3 HP motor included β€” with start button and manual lowering lever; full rise takes 40 seconds.
  • Truck adapters included β€” raise the arm pads for higher-clearance pickups and SUVs.
  • Floor mounting hardware and installation manual in the crate β€” anchor hardware ships with the lift.

FAQ about this model

Will the NT-9C fit under a low ceiling?
Because the cables and hose run through the floor plate instead of an overhead crossbar, the only fixed overhead dimension is the 111-inch columns β€” you don't need the 12-plus feet an overhead two-post lift requires. Measure your ceiling against the column height plus the height of the tallest vehicle you plan to raise.

What are the power requirements for the NT-9C?
It runs on 220V with a 3 HP motor. The 220V power unit and motor are included with the lift.

What concrete does the NT-9C need?
Triumph rates the NT-9C for installation on 3,000 PSI concrete. Confirm your slab meets that rating, and check thickness and condition, before anchoring.

How much can the NT-9C lift?
It is rated for 9,000 lb. The three-stage front arms and included truck adapters let it reach pickup points on a wide range of cars, trucks, and SUVs within that rating.

What's the difference between drive-thru width and width between posts?
Width between posts is 106 inches, measured up at vehicle mirror height. Drive-thru width is 96 inches, measured between the arms at floor level β€” that's the number to use when checking whether a wide vehicle can drive in.

What's included with the NT-9C?
The crate includes the 220V power unit with 3 HP motor, floor (anchor) mounting hardware, truck adapters, and the installation manual.

Does the NT-9C have an electric safety shutoff?
No. The NT-9C does not have an electric safety shutoff. It does use a dual-point lock release that drops the safety locks on both columns together.

Can I install the NT-9C myself?
It ships with floor mounting hardware and an installation manual. Per the manual, do not drill the anchor holes until the cables and hoses are in place and the floor cover has been used to confirm the posts are the correct distance apart.

How does the NT-9C ship, and will the driver unload it?
It ships LTL freight on a 48-foot semi and weighs about 1,303 lb crated. The driver does not unload it and liftgate service is not available for auto lifts, so you'll need a forklift, tractor, Bobcat, tow truck, or similar machinery β€” or the shipment can be routed to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup.
