Product Overview
In short
The Triumph NTR-16 is a drive-on four-post auto lift with a 16,000 lb lifting capacity, 224.5-inch runways and twelve mechanical lock positions. It runs on 220-volt single-phase power and raises to a maximum lifting height of 74.4 inches.

What the NTR-16 is built to lift

The NTR-16 is a four-post drive-on lift rated at 16,000 lbs, which puts full-size pickups, commercial vans and loaded light commercial vehicles inside its working range rather than at the edge of it. Maximum lifting height is 74.4 inches, so most adults have standing-room clearance underneath for exhaust, driveline and suspension work. The runways are 224.5 inches long and 20 inches wide, giving enough surface for long-wheelbase trucks and vans. Minimum runway height is 7.5 inches, so low-clearance vehicles can drive on without dragging. Spacing between the runways adjusts from 42.5 to 46.4 inches, which means narrow-track cars and wider-track trucks both line up on the same lift without a spotter-and-shuffle routine every time the vehicle changes.

Fitting it in your bay

Plan the bay around the overall footprint, not the runway size. The NTR-16 measures 161 inches wide overall and 235 inches long without the approach ramps; with the ramps attached, overall length grows to 273.9 inches. Overall height is 88.7 inches, so the ceiling has to clear that figure before the lift goes up, plus additional room for the vehicle itself once it is raised. Width between the columns is 134.2 inches, and that is the number that matters for door swing and for walking a toolbox between the posts. Measure your actual usable bay β€” wall to wall, and floor to the lowest obstruction such as a garage door track, light fixture or unit heater β€” against those figures before you order.

Power, hydraulics and locks

Electrical service is 220 volt single phase, the same service most North American shops already have at the bay, so there is no three-phase requirement. The power unit is a 3.0 kW ALU-motor design with a metal hydraulic tank. Holding is mechanical: twelve lock positions along the column ladders let you park the lift at the working height you actually want rather than the nearest approximation, which matters when you are matching a transmission jack or a bench height. Lock release is pneumatic through four air cylinders, one per column, so all four columns release together from a single handle instead of a walk-around. Because the release is pneumatic, plan on shop air reaching the lift in addition to the electrical circuit.

Freight, unloading and what is included

The NTR-16 ships LTL on a common carrier and arrives on a 48-foot semi truck, with a shipping weight of 3,112 lbs and shipping dimensions of 234" x 23" x 43". Unloading is your responsibility β€” the driver does not unload it, and lift-gate delivery is not available on auto lifts of this class. You will need machinery rated for the full shipping weight; a forklift, bobcat, tractor, tow truck or backhoe all work. If a freight truck cannot reach your address, the lift can be routed to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup with a trailer or moving van. The freight company calls you to schedule the appointment. Rolling bridge jacks are not included with the lift.

FAQ about this model

What vehicles can the NTR-16 lift?
The 16,000 lb capacity covers full-size pickups, commercial vans and loaded light commercial vehicles. Runway spacing adjusts from 42.5 to 46.4 inches to handle a range of track widths on the same lift.

What electrical service does the NTR-16 need?
220 volt single phase. The lift does not require three-phase service, and the power unit is a 3.0 kW ALU-motor design with a metal hydraulic tank.

How much ceiling height do I need for this lift?
Overall height of the lift is 88.7 inches, and maximum lifting height is 74.4 inches. Your ceiling must clear the lift structure plus the height of the vehicle you intend to raise, so measure to the lowest obstruction in the bay.

How much floor space does the NTR-16 take up?
Overall width is 161 inches and overall length is 235 inches without the approach ramps, or 273.9 inches with them. Width between the columns is 134.2 inches.

How is the lift held at working height?
Twelve mechanical lock positions across the column ladders. Release is pneumatic through four air cylinders, one per column, so all four drop from a single handle.

Are rolling bridge jacks included with the NTR-16?
No. Rolling bridge jacks are not included. The Triumph RJ-9 9,000 lb Rolling Bridge Jack is sold separately, or the lift can be paired with two of them through the NTR-16 + Two RJ-9 Rolling Jacks Combo.

How does the NTR-16 ship, and what do I need to receive it?
It ships LTL freight on a 48-foot semi at a shipping weight of 3,112 lbs. You unload it yourself with equipment rated for that weight β€” forklift, bobcat, tractor, tow truck or backhoe β€” and you schedule the delivery appointment with the freight company. Lift-gate service is not available on lifts of this class.

What if a freight truck can't reach my address?
The lift can be shipped to the carrier's nearest freight terminal so you can pick it up with a trailer or moving van.

What does the warranty cover?
One year on parts: failed parts are diagnosed over the phone and shipped free by ground service. Cylinders carry a 30-day full warranty from delivery, then a seal kit after that. Labor and rubber lifting pads are not covered.
