FAQ about this model
What ceiling height do I need for the NTO-16?
Overall height is 165", so you need a minimum ceiling clearance of 13.75 feet. Measure to the lowest obstruction β ductwork, lights, or a garage door track β not just to the joists.
What concrete does the NTO-16 require?
A 6" slab rated to a minimum of 3,000 PSI. The columns anchor through 20" Γ 20" base plates using the mounting hardware included in the kit.
What electrical service does it need?
A 220V circuit for the 3 HP motor. Phase (single versus three) is not stated in the published specifications, so confirm the service type with the seller for your specific shipment before wiring.
Are truck adapters included or sold separately?
Truck adapters and the mounting hardware needed to anchor the columns to your slab are included in the standard kit at no extra cost. No separate accessory order is required to start lifting.
How wide is the drive-thru, and will a dual-rear-wheel truck fit?
Drive-thru width is 102" with 116" between the posts, which clears most dual-rear-wheel trucks. Overall width at the base is 142", so plan the bay around that figure, not the drive-thru number.
How low do the arms go?
The arms drop to a 7" lowered height, which lets you position them under most sedans and crossover SUVs without lifting the vehicle first. Check the 32"β50" arm reach in the dimensions diagram against the vehicles you service most.
How fast does it lift?
40 seconds from the lowered position to the 72" maximum lifting height, driven by direct-drive cylinders.
How does the NTO-16 ship and do I need equipment to unload it?
It ships LTL freight on a 48-ft semi truck, and lift gate delivery is not available for auto lifts. You will need a forklift, Bobcat, tractor, tow truck, or backhoe to unload β the driver does not unload it β or the carrier can hold it at the nearest freight terminal for trailer pickup.
What does the warranty cover?
One year on parts, covering structural and mechanical components, with no labor coverage; replacement parts ship free after phone troubleshooting. Rubber lifting pads are not covered, and cylinders have a 30-day full warranty, after which Triumph provides a seal kit instead of a full cylinder.
