FAQ about this model
What electrical service does the NT-16 need?
The 3 HP power unit runs on 220V AC, single-phase. The manual lists a 30-amp breaker and minimum 10-gauge wire as the recommended service. Confirm you have a dedicated 220V single-phase circuit available before ordering.
What concrete does the NT-16 require?
The specification tables list 3,000 PSI minimum concrete at 6" minimum thickness, on a level, cured floor. Note that the manufacturer's own description text states a minimum rated 4,000 PSI, so verify the figure in the product manual before you anchor.
Will the NT-16 fit in a shop with a low ceiling?
The lift measures 120" (10 feet) overall height, and the floor-plate design puts no overhead bar above the columns. Your ceiling has to clear the columns plus the height of the tallest vehicle raised to working position, so plan ceiling height on that basis rather than on the 120" figure alone.
Are the arms symmetric or asymmetric?
Symmetric. All four arms are the same length and the columns face each other directly, which centers the vehicle between the columns instead of offsetting it toward the driver-side door the way an asymmetric lift does.
What's included with the NT-16?
Two columns (power side and offside) with the floor-plate connecting bar, the 220V 3 HP hydraulic power unit, four symmetric arms with rubber lift pads, the stackable 1.5"/3"/6" adapter set, truck adapters, mounting hardware (anchor bolts, washers, nuts), hydraulic hoses, synchronizing cables, and the product manual.
Do I need professional installation?
Installation is not included in the base price. Triumph supplies the mounting hardware and a manual covering layout, anchor-bolt installation, hydraulic hook-up, cable adjustment, and test run. Many shop owners install in-house with a helper, and using a third-party contractor is also common.
How does the NT-16 ship, and who unloads it?
It ships freight on an LTL common carrier on a 48-foot semi truck, at a 2,000 lb shipping weight. Unloading is your responsibility β the driver will not unload it and lift-gate service is not available for auto lifts, so plan on a forklift, Bobcat, tractor, tow truck, or backhoe. Delivery to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup is an alternative if you cannot unload on site.
How fast does the NT-16 lift, and how low does it go?
It travels from a 7" lowered height to a 72" maximum lifting height in 40 seconds.
What warranty and certifications does it carry?
The NT-16 ships with a 1-year parts warranty; defective parts are replaced within the period, while labor, freight, and consumables are not covered. Triumph states ISO 9001 manufacturing and CE conformity.
