FAQ about this model
What power and air supply does the NTC-950-2 need?
It runs on a standard 110V single-phase outlet and uses a 1.5 HP motor. The assist arms, bead breaker, and bead-blast function are pneumatic, so a shop compressed-air supply is also required; maximum operating pressure is 120 PSI.
What wheel sizes will it clamp?
Inside clamping is 16β28" and outside clamping is 14β26". Maximum wheel width is 15" and maximum tire diameter is 43".
How much floor space and ceiling height does it need?
Assembled size is 56" x 93" x 80". Plan for that footprint and check that your door and ceiling clearance accommodate the 80" height.
Can it change run-flat tires?
Yes. The dual assist arms are designed for run-flat, low-profile, and wide-profile tires, and Triumph's fitment guide lists the NTC-950-2 as run-flat capable.
Does it handle motorcycle wheels?
Yes, with an additional adapter, per Triumph's fitment guide.
Will it service 19.5" or over-the-road truck wheels?
No. The NTC-950-2 is not rated for box-truck, over-the-road, 19.5", 21.5", or implement wheels. Those sizes require a dedicated heavy-duty truck tire changer.
What tooling comes with the machine?
A steel mount and demount head, a plastic mount and demount head, plastic wheel clamp covers, a soap tank with application brush, and a tire tool bar.
How does it ship and what do I need to receive it?
It ships free to the lower 48 on an LTL common-carrier freight truck (a 48-foot semi) with lift-gate service, so the driver lowers the 900 lb crate to the ground at the rear of the truck. The driver does not move it into your shop or assemble it, and you schedule the delivery appointment with the carrier. Terminal pickup is available if you would rather collect it with a trailer or van.
What does the warranty cover?
A 1-year parts warranty, parts only with no labor. You troubleshoot by phone with Triumph and the covered part ships free, including ground shipping. Wear items are excluded, including the plastic pads and tooling on the clamps, heads, bead breaker, and assist arms, plus the tire-inflation hose, lube brush, and bucket.
