FAQ about this model
Can the NTC-950-1 change run-flat and low-profile tires?
Yes. The single assist arm presses and holds the bead through the change, which is what makes stiff run-flat and short-sidewall low-profile tires manageable on this machine.
What size wheels does it clamp?
It clamps 16 to 28 inches from the inside and 14 to 26 inches from the outside. Wheels can be up to 15 inches wide and tires up to 43 inches in overall diameter.
What electrical service does it need?
A standard 110V single-phase outlet. The motor is 1.5 HP and no three-phase service or special hookup is required.
Does it need shop air?
Yes. The bead blast seating system runs on shop air up to 120 PSI. Without compressed air you lose the bead blast function.
How much bead breaker force does it have?
5,500 lbs, which is intended for breaking seized and stubborn beads on passenger-car and light-truck wheels.
What are the crated size and weight, and what does it measure assembled?
It ships crated at 51" x 38" x 51" and 820 lbs. Assembled dimensions are not published by the supplier, so plan your bay space from the crated figures and your own layout.
How does it ship and who unloads it?
It ships crated on an LTL freight carrier with liftgate service, so the driver lowers it to the ground at the back of the truck. The driver does not move it into your shop or assemble it. You schedule the delivery appointment directly with the carrier, or have it held at the nearest terminal for pickup.
What does the warranty cover?
Triumph provides a 1-year parts warranty, parts only with no labor coverage. Needed parts ship free with free ground shipping after phone troubleshooting; labor to install the replacement part is not covered.
Can I buy it packaged with a wheel balancer?
Yes. The NTC-950-1 is also offered as a shop package paired with the Triumph NTB-550 or NTB-800 wheel balancer for shops building out a tire bay from scratch.
