FAQ about this model
What are the electrical requirements for the NSS-8XLT?
The power unit runs on standard 110-volt household current and needs a dedicated 30-amp circuit. No 220V or three-phase service is required, and you should not run the lift from a generator — power surges can damage the motor.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The lift is 94 inches tall on its own, and clearance under the runways at full lift height is 79 inches. For stacked storage you need enough ceiling for the lower vehicle, the raised runways, and the vehicle on top, so measure both cars before ordering.
Do I need to add hydraulic fluid?
Yes. Plan on approximately 3 gallons of AW32 hydraulic oil to fill the power unit during setup.
Will a full-size truck fit on this lift?
The 99-inch drive-thru clearance and 180-inch runways give full-size trucks and long-wheelbase vehicles room to load squarely, up to the 8,000 lb rated capacity.
Is the NSS-8XLT really portable?
The included caster kit lets you roll the empty lift to reposition it in the garage. Do not move the lift with a vehicle on it — the casters are not rated to transport a loaded lift.
What comes in the box?
Four columns on 12" x 12" base plates, two diamond-plate runways, two cross rails, the 110-volt power unit and hydraulic hose, a caster kit with four dollies, a steel jack tray, three plastic drip trays, two aluminum drive-on ramps, and runway stops, lock release rods, cables, and assembly hardware.
Can I lift the wheels off the runways for brake or tire work?
Yes. The center jack tray holds a bottle jack or floor jack to raise one end of the vehicle, and the Triumph SJ-35 rolling bridge jack is a compatible add-on.
How does it ship, and what do I need to unload it?
It ships by LTL freight on a 48-foot semi and weighs about 1,800 lbs crated. The driver will not unload it and liftgate service is not available for auto lifts, so you need a forklift, tractor, Bobcat, tow truck, or similar equipment on site. If you cannot unload at your location, the lift can be routed to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup.
What does the warranty cover?
Triumph covers the NSS-8XLT with a 1-year parts warranty — parts only, no labor. Hydraulic cylinders carry a 30-day full warranty, after which Triumph provides a seal kit; rubber lifting pads are not covered.
