What the NTB-1200 covers

The NTB-1200 is built to handle a shop's whole wheel mix on one machine. It balances wheels from 10 to 28 inches in diameter, tires up to 51 inches in overall diameter, rim widths from 1.5 to 20 inches, and assemblies weighing up to 350 lbs. That range spans passenger cars, half-ton through one-ton trucks, box trucks, and over-the-road truck wheels, including Load Range C, D, and E tires. It also covers 14- to 24-inch wheels, 16.5-, 19.5-, and 21.5-inch wheels, implement wheels, and run-flat wheels. For a shop that services both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, that means one balancer on the floor instead of a truck machine plus a separate passenger unit. Motorcycle wheels fall outside its range.

Measurement, cycle time, and accuracy

A gauge arm reads wheel distance and diameter automatically, so the operator sets fewer parameters before each spin. Rim width is still entered by hand — the machine does not use fully automatic data entry, and the spec sheet lists Automatic Data Entry as No. Once the wheel is spinning, the 1/3 HP motor completes a balance cycle in about 8 seconds. The electronic readout resolves imbalance to ±1 gram in standard mode, and ±10 gram for heavier counterweights, and the display switches between standard and metric units. Wheels mount on a 42 mm shaft. Balancing modes include standard dynamic, static, ALU 1–3, ALU-S, and OPT, which covers the common weight-placement styles for steel and alloy wheels.

Power requirements and delivery

The NTB-1200 runs on 110 volt power. It plugs into a common shop or garage circuit rather than requiring high-voltage three-phase service, which matters if you are adding truck wheel service to a bay that was never wired for it. The motor is rated 1/3 HP. Shipping dimensions are 47" × 39" × 50" and shipping weight is 720 lbs. Delivery is freight on an LTL common carrier with lift-gate service: the driver lowers the crate to the ground at the rear of the truck, but does not move it inside or assemble it. Plan how you will move a 720-lb machine into position before it arrives. You schedule delivery directly with the carrier, or route it to the carrier's nearest terminal for pickup. Shipping to the lower 48 states is free.

What is included and how it is covered

A protective wheel hood cover ships with the balancer to guard the operator and the balancer head. A product manual is available as a PDF. The NTB-1200 carries a 1-year parts warranty — parts only, with labor not covered. Failures are troubleshot by phone, and the needed part ships at no charge including ground shipping; installing the replacement part is the owner's responsibility. Wear items are excluded from coverage: the quick-release wing nut, wheel hood cover, top tray cover, and wheel-weight hammer.
