FAQ about this model
How much can the EKKO EP30A carry, and at what load center?
Rated load capacity is 6,600 lbs (3,000 kg) at a load center of 23.62 in. The load center is measured from the fork face to the center of gravity of the load, so a pallet loaded evenly within that distance is what the rating assumes. Loads stacked unevenly or extending farther out reduce the weight the truck can safely handle.
What are the fork dimensions, and will they fit my pallets?
Each fork is 9.06 in wide and 48.03 in long, with an outer width across both forks of 26.77 in. Forks sit 3.27 in off the floor when lowered and rise to 9.06 in. Measure your pallet openings, entry height and stringer spacing against these figures before ordering, since pallet construction varies by supplier.
How much floor space does the EP30A need?
Overall dimensions are 88.11 in long, 35.12 in wide and 56.69 in high. The 88.11 in length is the figure that matters most in tight aisles and inside trailers, since the truck is a rider unit with an operator platform. No turning radius or minimum aisle width is published in these specifications, so confirm clearances against your own layout.
What are the operating limits for temperature, lighting and ramps?
The EP30A is rated for +41°F to +104°F and requires at least 50 lux of illumination at the work area. Operation on slopes is prohibited, so it is intended for flat, level surfaces only. That makes it suited to indoor warehouse floors, distribution centers and level dock areas rather than yards, ramps or cold storage.
What safety systems does it have?
The truck includes emergency reverse, an emergency stop, brake override and a turtle (reduced) speed mode. Turtle speed is useful in congested aisles and when entering trailers. Note that OSHA classifies rider pallet trucks as powered industrial trucks, which means operators must be trained and evaluated before use regardless of the safety features fitted to the machine.
Who is this truck for, and who should look at something else?
It suits horizontal pallet movement over distance: dock-to-stock workflow, staging and order consolidation in warehouses and distribution centers. Because the operator rides rather than walks, it reduces fatigue on long runs and improves throughput. It is not a stacker; forks raise only to 9.06 in, and lifting is slow at 0.03 m/s, intended for pallet transport rather than racking.
