Tractel builds gear for two kinds of work: moving loads and protecting the people working around them. Use this table to find the right family before you compare individual listings.

Griphoist wire rope hoists and minifor electric hoists

A Griphoist is a traction hoist: the wire rope passes through the body, where jaws grip it and draw it along, so the rope length, not the hoist, sets how far you can pull or lift. That makes it a fit for winching equipment into position, tensioning lines and lifting in places with no fixed overhead structure. The hydraulic Griphoist TU28H and TU32H are offered in standard equipment kits at several capacities, and the TU28 and TU32 rescue kits bundle a hoist with a wire rope sling for emergency pulling. Supporting items include the manual wire rope reeler and the Easy-Pull / Tirvit tensioner.

Chain hoists, beam trolleys and rigging hardware

Choose a Tralift hand chain hoist when you lift straight up from a beam, and a bravo lever hoist when you need to pull, hold or tension at an angle. Check three things: capacity against your heaviest load plus rigging, lift length against the full travel you need, and the hoist's weight if someone will carry it. Pair a hoist with a corso push or traveling beam trolley sized to your beam flange width; each trolley option lists its flange range. Tractel also offers topal drum clamps and pipe hooks, plus pakrol skates, rack jacks and hydrofor toe jacks for machinery moving.

Dynafor and load measurement

Load measurement tells you what a line, sling or anchor actually carries instead of what you assume it carries. The Dynafor accessories we list include a swivel hook in several capacities and the Hand Held Display. The dynarope HF 36 and HF 37 tensiometers read tension on a rope without cutting it, and the dynaplug HF 44 anchor tester (accuracy <1% of nominal capacity) checks installed anchors. No single product decides whether a setup is right for your job. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and your site's safety program, and have a competent person plan the system.

How to choose and care for Tractel equipment

• Define the task first: vertical lift, horizontal pull, tensioning, measurement or personal protection each point to a different family.
• Match ratings, not just size: compare working load limit or capacity with the real load, including rigging and any dynamic effects.
• Measure your structure: beam flange width for trolleys and clamps, opening size for confined space davits, roof type for anchors.
• Check the listed standard: where a product lists a standard, it appears in its specs; confirm it matches what your program requires.
• Inspect and store properly: inspect wire rope, chain, webbing and hooks before each use, keep gear clean and dry, and remove anything damaged from service according to the manufacturer's instructions.
