A pallet stacker is a walk-behind truck with a mast. Full electric means both functions are powered: a traction motor drives the truck and a hydraulic pump raises the forks, so the operator neither pushes the load nor pumps a handle. That is the line between an electric stacker and an electric pallet truck (also called a pallet jack or pallet forklift), which moves loads at floor level and has no mast at all. If you need to place pallets into racking, feed a mezzanine, load a mixer or stack two and three high, a stacker forklift is usually the smallest and least expensive machine that will do the job. It also fits where a sit-down forklift does not: the EKKO EB13E measures 70" overall length with a 52.6" turning radius, and the counterbalanced EK07S is 34.5" wide. Compare that with the aisle a rider truck needs and the case for an electric walkie stacker usually makes itself.
Chassis type is the first decision, and it is driven by your pallets, not your budget. Get it wrong and the truck physically cannot pick the load.

Adjustable legs give straddle models real flexibility across pallet widths: the EB13E adjusts from 45.5" to 59.1", the EB14CS-145Li from 35.4" to 51.2". Fork-over models trade that away for compactness — the EB13CD carries an overall fork width of 11.8" inner to 26.8" outer.
A rated capacity only means something alongside a load center. Most EKKO straddle models in this collection are rated at a 24" load center; the counterbalanced EK07S is rated at 20". A pallet whose weight sits farther out than that load center effectively derates the truck, which is why a 4,000 lb machine can struggle with a 3,000 lb load that is long, tall or unevenly packed. Ask us for the capacity chart for the specific model before you commit — high-lift trucks generally carry less at full mast extension than at floor level, and that curve differs by model.
Lift height in this collection runs from 118" through 138", 141.7" on the EOSLift T15J and 145" on models such as the EB14CS-145Li and EB13C-145Li. Measure to the top face of the load, not the beam: add pallet height, load height and the clearance you need to set down. Two dimensions get overlooked. Lowered fork height decides whether the forks enter your pallets at all (2.35" on the EB13E, 2.6" on the EB14CS-145Li, 3.54" on the EB13CD). Extended mast height decides whether the truck can raise inside the building — the EB13CD extends to 147.6", so a low ceiling, sprinkler line or roll-up door opening can rule out a model that otherwise fits.
The lithium models in this collection carry an Li suffix; the rest run sealed or flooded lead-acid packs. The practical difference is duty cycle, not runtime on paper. Lithium tolerates opportunity charging — plugging in over a break without a full cycle — needs no watering and does not gas, so a single truck can often cover more than one shift. Lead-acid costs less up front and is fine for single-shift, few-hours-a-day use, but it wants a full charge and cool-down between cycles, and stacking partial charges shortens its life. Several units charge from a standard outlet through an onboard charger; the EK07S, for example, has a 24V/20A internal charger. Confirm the outlet, amperage and cord run at the parking spot before delivery day. OSHA 1910.178(g) sets requirements for battery charging installations, including designated charging areas, protection of the truck from damage while charging, and facilities for flushing and neutralizing spilled electrolyte.
Walk the route with a tape measure. Aisle width against turning radius (51" to 60.8" across the EK07S, EB13E and EB14CS-145Li), door and ceiling height against extended mast height, and dock plate or ramp grade against the truck's rated gradeability. Floor condition matters more than buyers expect: these are small-wheel, low-clearance machines built for smooth, level, indoor concrete. Broken slabs, expansion joints and gravel yards will chew up polyurethane wheels and can stall a loaded truck on a slope. If your work is genuinely outdoors on unimproved ground, look at the rough terrain stacker in this collection instead of forcing an indoor truck into that duty. Also check the parking footprint, the charger location and whether a second operator needs the truck during charging.
A walk-behind stacker is a powered industrial truck, and the same rules apply as to a sit-down forklift. OSHA 1910.178(l) requires that operators be trained, evaluated and certified for the truck type and the workplace conditions before operating it, with re-evaluation at least every three years. OSHA 1910.178(q)(7) requires trucks to be examined before being placed in service and at least daily, or after each shift where trucks run around the clock, with defective trucks removed from service. ANSI/ITSDF B56.1 is the safety standard covering low-lift and high-lift powered industrial trucks, including walkie stackers, and addresses operation, stability and maintenance practice. Budget for training and a simple daily checklist alongside the machine itself — it is the cheapest part of ownership and the part most often skipped.
