What the NTC-AS adapter kit is

The NTC-AS is a tire changer motorcycle/ATV adapter kit, not a standalone machine. The adapters are installed over the existing wheel clamp jaws on your turntable and are then secured with a screw bolt so they cannot shift during use. Their purpose is to change the outside clamping range of the wheel clamp jaws so the machine can hold wheels it would otherwise not reach. Because the adapters sit on top of the jaws rather than replacing them, they also change the elevation of the clamping point above the turntable. Nothing else about the machine changes: the same jaws, the same turntable, and the same controls remain in use once the adapters are bolted on.

How the clamping range changes

The kit works in two directions, depending on how you set the adapters up. Used to increase reach, the clamping range becomes 4" plus the original clamping range of your machine. Used to decrease reach, the clamping range becomes 8" less than the original clamping range. Both figures are relative to whatever your specific tire changer already does, so start from your machine's published clamping range and apply the offset rather than looking for a fixed diameter number. The adapters also raise the wheel above the turntable, which matters for narrow motorcycle and ATV wheels that would otherwise sit low against the table. The plastic wheel clamp covers can be used on the adapter kit.

Fitment: Triumph machines only

This kit is only guaranteed to fit Triumph brand tire changers. Adapters that mount over wheel clamp jaws depend on the exact jaw profile, thickness, and bolt location, so a kit that fits one brand's turntable will not necessarily seat correctly on another. If you are running a Triumph machine, this is the matching accessory. If you are running a different brand, treat fitment as unverified — nothing in the manufacturer's information covers other machines, and a loose or partially seated adapter on a spinning turntable is not something to improvise around. Check your jaws against the kit before use, and confirm the screw bolt fully secures each adapter so there is no movement during a mount or demount.

Bead blast system limitation

One trade-off is worth knowing before you buy. You will not be able to use the bead blast system while the motorcycle/ATV adapter kit is installed, because the adapters cover the air holes the bead blast system fires through. That is a physical blockage, not a setting you can work around. In practice it means motorcycle and ATV work with this kit is done without bead blast assist, and if you need bead blast for a car or light truck wheel you remove the adapters first. Because the adapters are secured with a screw bolt, swapping between the two setups is a mechanical job on each jaw rather than a quick lever throw — plan for it in your workflow.

How much does the NTC-AS increase my clamping range?

Warranty

Triumph Limited Warranty. Triumph covers parts and product defects for one (1) year; labor is not included. Hydraulic cylinders carry a 30-day full warranty, after which a seal kit is supplied for cylinder service. Rubber lifting pads are not covered. The warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase.
