How much weight can the IMER 5510702 dump platform hold?

It carries up to 2,000 lbs. The deck is 80 inches long by 40 inches wide, so that load can be spread across the surface rather than concentrated in one place. Also check the rated payload of the dumper you are mounting it on — the platform does not increase what the machine itself can carry, so the lower of the two figures is your working limit.

What are the platform dimensions?

The platform measures 80 inches long, 40 inches wide and 24 inches high. Compare those figures against the bed of your dumper and against the doorways, ramps or trailer you move it through. Length and width set how much material you move per trip, while the height affects how far you lift when loading by hand.

How do the folding sides work?

The kit has three folding sides. Dropping a side turns that edge into an open lip, so material can be shovelled, swept or slid on and off instead of being lifted over a fixed wall. The kit assembles easily and all the tools needed are included, so nothing extra has to be bought or sourced. Assembly is a bolt-together job on the steel frame and sides. Plan for a flat working area and a second person to steady the panels, since the components are steel and awkward to hold single-handed.

What is the platform made of, and how is it maintained?

It uses a heavy-duty steel frame. Maintenance is straightforward: clear material out of the deck after use so debris does not build up in the corners or around the side hinges, keep the hinges free of grit so the sides fold cleanly, and check the fasteners periodically, as repeated dumping loosens bolted joints over time.
