Vovlift's electric scissor lift and aerial platform range covers 36 machines from IMER, Ballymore, EKKO and GNT, priced from $10,638 to $133,998. It runs from compact minis such as the Ballymore DMSL-10 at 10' platform height up to 62 ft working height rough terrain units like the IMER IM 8756 RT E. Most models here are battery or lithium powered for indoor and slab work; one diesel machine, the IMER IM 8756 RT D, covers outdoor sites with no charging access. Compare by platform height, capacity and drive type below, or read the buying guide under the grid.

Start with the height you actually need, then work backward. Scissor lift specs are published two ways, and mixing them up is the most common ordering mistake: platform height is the floor of the basket, working height is the reach figure. The IMER IM 3224 lists 23' 7 1/2" platform height against 30' working height, and the IMER IM 7043 RT E lists 43 ft platform against 49 ft working height — so a spec sheet quoting the larger number is not describing a taller machine. Once height is fixed, capacity narrows the field quickly. Platform ratings in this collection include 500 lb on the Ballymore DMSL-10, DMSL-12 and DSL-45, 550 lb on the DSL-40, 700 lb on the GNT GS-Li, and 1,000 lb on the DSL-32 and DMSL-26. The IMER IM 3224 is rated 510 lb and listed as a two-person platform. Count operators, tools and material together, not just the people.
| Height band (as listed) | Models in this collection | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 10'–19' | Ballymore DMSL-10, DMSL-12, DMSL-19, DMSL-19C; EKKO ES40E / ES40E-LI (13' lift height), ES60E-LI (19') | Ceilings, lower rack levels, store fit-out |
| 23'–32' | IMER IM 3224 (23' 7 1/2" platform); Ballymore DMSL-26, DMSL-26W, DSL-32; EKKO ES80E / ES80E-LI (26.2'), ES100E / ES100E-LI (32.8') | Warehouse ceilings, plant maintenance |
| 39'–45' | Ballymore DSL-40, DSL-45; EKKO ES120E / ES120E-LI (39') | High-bay interior work |
| 49–62 ft working height, rough terrain | IMER IM 7043 RT E, IM 8747 RT E, IM 8756 RT E, IM 8756 RT D | Outdoor and uneven ground |
Nearly everything in this collection is battery powered, which is what indoor work demands — no exhaust, no fuel handling, and non-marking tires on machines like the IMER IM 3224. The practical decision is between conventional lead-acid packs and lithium. EKKO publishes both builds of the same platform — ES40E and ES40E-LI, ES80E and ES80E-LI, ES100E and ES100E-LI, ES120E and ES120E-LI — so you can compare like for like at 13', 26.2', 32.8' and 39' lift heights. Lithium charges faster and needs no watering, which matters on two-shift work or where nobody owns battery maintenance; lead-acid holds the purchase price down when a lift sits idle between jobs. The GNT GS-Li pairs a lithium pack with an AC drive and a Curtis controller. Diesel is represented by a single machine, the IMER IM 8756 RT D with its Yanmar engine — the choice when there is no dependable jobsite power to charge against and the work is entirely outdoors.
Ballymore's model naming trips buyers up, and the search term "dms lifts" is usually someone hunting for the DMSL family. MSL models are mini scissor lifts — the MSL-10 at 16' working height and the MSL-12 at 19'. DMSL models are drivable mini scissor lifts, meaning the operator repositions the machine from the platform: DMSL-10 (10' platform, 500 lb), DMSL-12 (12', 500 lb), DMSL-19 (19', offered in 500 lb and 800 lb capacity), the compact DMSL-19C, DMSL-26 (26' platform, 1,000 lb) and the wide-deck DMSL-26W (26' platform, 32' working height). DSL models are the full-size drivable lifts: DSL-32, DSL-40 and DSL-45. A drivable lift earns its premium wherever the crew makes many short moves — retail resets, lighting and ceiling grid work, conveyor maintenance. If the machine parks once and stays put for a shift, the non-drivable minis do the same job for less money.
Slab lifts and rough terrain lifts are not interchangeable, and running a slab machine on graded dirt is how platforms end up out of level and jobs end up stopped. The rough terrain machines here are IMER's RT series: the IM 7043 RT E at 49 ft working height, the IM 8747 RT E at 53 ft, and the IM 8756 RT E and IM 8756 RT D at 62 ft. They are built for the conditions rather than adapted to them — four-wheel drive with oscillating axles on the IM 7043 RT E, hydraulic 4WD and 33" rough terrain tires on the IM 8756 RT E, automatic leveling jacks on the IM 8747 RT E and leveling outriggers with proportional controls on the IM 8756 RT D. Deck length matters as much as height outdoors: the IM 8756 and IM 8747 platforms extend to 22' 4", and the IM 7043 RT E has a 59 inch manual deck extension on a 69 inch base width. The IM 7043 RT E also carries a 48V 7.2kW AC motor with 300Ah batteries, 40 degree steering and a 120V onboard outlet with safety cut-out for tools.
OSHA treats scissor lifts as mobile scaffolds rather than as aerial lifts, so construction work falls under 29 CFR 1926.451, with operator training under 29 CFR 1926.454. The consensus standards are the ANSI/SAIA A92.20 series: A92.20 covers the design of mobile elevating work platforms, A92.22 covers safe use — including the site risk assessment and rescue plan the standard expects an employer to produce — and A92.24 covers operator and occupant training. In practice that means a documented training program, a familiarization step whenever an operator moves to an unfamiliar model, and logged pre-use inspections. Guardrails are the primary fall protection on a scissor lift; whether a harness is also required turns on your own site rules and the manufacturer's manual, so read both before writing policy. Ask any supplier for the operator and maintenance manuals up front, since they define the inspection intervals you will be audited against.
Purchase prices in this collection run from $10,638 to $133,998, and the spread tracks height, drive system and terrain capability more than brand. Beyond the sticker, budget for battery replacement over the machine's life, annual service, and — for anything that leaves a slab — tires. Three mistakes come up repeatedly. Buying on working height alone, then finding the platform rating will not carry two people plus material. Buying wider than the building: measure your narrowest aisle, door and elevator opening, and check stowed height against low door frames and trailer decks — the IMER IM 3224 lists a 7' 2" stowed height and the IM 7043 RT E a 69 inch base width. And buying a slab lift for outdoor work, which usually ends in a second purchase inside the year. If you are between two sizes, decide on the tightest access point in the building rather than the tallest ceiling.
