Overhead Garage Storage Lifts vs. Fixed Overhead Racks

Overhead garage storage splits into two families, and this collection carries both. If your garage roof is trussed, the bottom chord was engineered by the truss designer for a specific load and is not automatically a storage deck; the International Residential Code addresses ceiling and attic loading, and the truss drawings or a local engineer are the right source for your building.
