Vestil Aluminum Truck Dockboards (Welded Aluminum Curbs) (BTA)

The Aluminum Truck Dockboard is engineered and built to maximize safety while handling heavy fork trucks and loads. The beveled edge is designed for smooth entry and exit. Locking legs prevent movement during loading and unloading operations.

Locking legs are uneven to allow the dockboard to sit canted, while not in use, for easier pickup by fork trucks. Welded aluminum safety curbs prevent accidental runoffs and provide visible driving lane. When using three-wheeled fork trucks order dockboard with capacity at least four times the lifting capacity of fork truck.

The width of the dockboard should be at least 15 (in.) wider than the load or equipment passing between the curbs. Bend is 11 degrees and 9" from the edge and the legs are 12" from the edge. Manufactured in compliance with OSHA.

FAQ about this model

What capacity options are available, and how do I know which one fits my load?

Models in this group range from 5000 to 8000 lbs capacity depending on size and model number. Match the rated capacity to your heaviest loaded pallet jack or hand truck plus cargo, not just the cargo weight alone. Check the specific model number's capacity rating before ordering, since size and capacity vary independently across the 100 available models.

What sizes are offered, and how do I pick the right one for my dock?

Sizes in this group range from 54"x30" up to 84"x42" (with 54"x54" also available), covering the 78"x36"–54"x54" range listed for the overall product line. Measure your truck bed height gap and dock width before choosing, since the board must span the distance between the dock edge and the trailer bed.

What is the price range and what drives the cost difference between models?

Prices in this group run from $706.54 to over $1,400, with the full product line spanning $706.54 to $4,392.87. Cost increases with both larger size (more aluminum) and higher capacity rating, so a 78x30 board costs more than a 54x30 board even at the same capacity.

Are these dockboards made in the USA, and what warranty do they carry?

Yes, they are made in the USA by Vestil Manufacturing. They come with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects.

What material are these dockboards built from, and why choose aluminum over steel?

These are welded aluminum dockboards with welded aluminum curbs, as indicated by the BTA model designation. Aluminum construction is lighter than steel for easier manual positioning, though the specs here don't list a specific weight figure per model.

Who is this dockboard series suited for?

This series suits facilities loading trucks with capacity needs between 5000 and 8000 lbs and gap sizes from 54"x30" up to 84"x42". If you need a size or capacity outside these listed models, check other groups in the BTA line, since 100 models total are available across a wider size and price range.
