How to Choose an Electric Pallet Stacker

Start with your heaviest pallet, not your average one. Capacity is rated at a specific load center, the distance from the fork face to the load's center of gravity. Most EKKO models here are rated at a 24 in load center, some at 20 in, and the EOSLift T15J at 19.7 in. Long or unevenly packed loads reduce what a stacker can safely lift, so check the capacity chart on the spec sheet and leave some margin.

Then measure three things in your building:

• Top beam height of your racking sets the lift height you need. This range runs from compact models such as the Ballymore BALLYPAL22MSL63 at 63 inches up to 216 in on the tallest GNT G44CS-Li option.
• Lowest overhead obstruction (door headers, sprinklers, mezzanines) must clear the lowered mast height. The EKKO EB14C-98Li, for example, stands 75.2 in with the mast down.
• Ceiling clearance at full lift must clear the extended mast height, which is always taller than the lift height. The EKKO EB16EAS-189Li lifts to 189 in but extends to 227 in.

Finally, compare your aisle width with the turning radius on each spec sheet and confirm your floor is smooth and level. These are walk-behind machines built for indoor floors; for gravel or uneven yards, look at the Vestil rough terrain stackers instead.

Straddle, Fork Over or Counterbalanced?

• Straddle stackers have adjustable legs that sit outside the pallet, so they handle closed-bottom pallets and skids. On the EKKO EB13C and EB14C series the legs adjust from 35.4 to 51.2 in.
• Fork over stackers have narrow legs under the forks that enter the pallet openings, which suits open-bottom pallets. The EKKO EB13CD carries 2800 lbs to 118 in; the GNT G28BCD-LI is a lithium alternative.
• Counterbalanced walkie stackers have no support legs, so any pallet style works and you can set loads close to a wall or workbench. The trade-off is length: the EKKO EK14S-130 is 109 in long, versus 73.7 in for an EB14C straddle model.
• Side-shift models slide the forks sideways to line up a pallet without repositioning the truck: 4.7 in on the EKKO EB16EAS-189Li, also available on the GNT GB30CS-Li and G44CS-Li.
• Specialty Vestil units add a built-in scale, power fork reach, bale clamps, or drum, roll and reel forks.

If you only lift light loads occasionally, a manual pallet stacker may be enough. For floor-level moves only, electric pallet jacks are simpler, and loads beyond these stackers call for electric forklifts.

Batteries, Charging and Care

Many models here run on lithium. EKKO Li models typically use a 24V/50Ah lithium pack with an internal charger, and GNT describes its lithium stackers as fast charging and maintenance-free. Other EKKO models use a 24V/85Ah battery, and Vestil offers an AGM battery upgrade plus a lithium ion battery for its double mast adjustable stackers. Weigh battery capacity against how long your shifts run and whether you can charge during breaks.

• Check forks, chains, mast, wheels, controls and hydraulic lines before each shift.
• Charge following the manufacturer's instructions for your battery type.
• Keep wheels free of shrink wrap, banding and debris.
• Never exceed the rated capacity, and lower the forks before traveling or parking.

Shipping, Delivery and Returns

We ship within the USA only. Most orders take 1-2 business days to process, and standard transit typically takes 1-5 business days after dispatch; oversized or crated equipment can take significantly longer, and all dates are estimates. Heavy equipment may receive a separate shipping quote; if it arrives after purchase, you can accept it or cancel for a full refund before dispatch.

• Tailgate delivery: the carrier brings the stacker to your address but does not unload it. Have a forklift, loading dock or enough manpower ready, and make sure a 53-foot freight trailer can reach your site.
• Inspect on arrival: write "DAMAGED" on the Bill of Lading before signing if you see damage, and report concealed damage within 24 hours.
• Returns: accepted within 60 days of delivery for unused items in original packaging, with a Return Authorization (RA) number. You pay return shipping and the original shipping cost, and a 30% restocking fee applies.
