What Kenco Makes, and What We Stock

Kenco builds lifting attachments — the tool that goes between the machine and the load. Depending on the family, that machine is an excavator, backhoe, telehandler, crane, wheel loader or forklift, and the load is a concrete barrier, a section of pipe, a slab, a bin block or a boulder. The point of the equipment is to grip and release the load mechanically so nobody has to rig it by hand.

The Kenco Families, and How They Differ

KL Barrier Lifts

The largest single machine family we stock. Models run KL9000, KL12000, KL16000, KL16KNG8T18, KL30000 and KL40000 (SKU KL40K6T12), plus a double lifter (KLDL14K8T9) for picking two sections at once. The KL40K6T12 listing describes high-strength steel construction, reinforced attachment points and a balanced lifting system for positioning barrier panels. Related variants share the KL platform but change the jaw: Texas and Florida Low Profile Barrier Lifts are cut for those low-profile barrier sections, bin block lifts (KL9K26T36 at 9,000 lb, and a 24–30 in. model) grab concrete bin blocks, and the Zipper Wall Lifts come in 56" and 84" widths. Match the lift to the barrier section you actually run — profile, not just weight, decides fit.

PL Pipe-Lifts and PH Pipe Hooks

Two different answers to the same job. Pipe-Lifts (PL2250, PL2500, PL2750, PL2750 X-Treme Capacity, PL3000, PL3500, PL4500, PL7000, PL8500) grip the pipe. Mechanical Pipe Hooks (PH3500SL, PH9000M, PH9000SL, PH12000, PH18000, PH30000) hook it. The PH30000 listing specifies model PH30000M, high-strength steel, and a mechanical hook with reinforced components for lifting and positioning tubular material. Within the hook line, M denotes the mechanical version and SL the self-leveling version — the PH9000SL and PH3500SL are listed as self-leveling concrete pipe hooks, which matters when you are laying pipe to grade and want the section to hang level as it comes off the hook.

ML Multilift

A four-leg gripping frame for slabs, precast and similar flat or boxed loads. We stock the ML3000, ML8K in 48" and 68" versions, and the ML12000 (ML12K14T88V1). The ML12K14T88V1 is rated 12,000 lbs with a 14" to 88" outside grip range, a 38" to 112" inside-out range, 360° pivoting pads and heavy-duty steel construction. Leg sets change the job: ML8K Manhole Legs adapt the frame to manhole sections, and multi-directional pivoting pad sets are stocked as replacements for ML3K leg mounts.

MG Rocklift Grapples and SL Superlift

Rocklift grapples (MG3000, MG6000, MG12000) handle irregular loads. The MG12K24T60V4 is rated 12,000 lb (5,443 kg), grips 24″–60″ diameter, uses a three-point mechanical grapple, requires no hydraulics, and is intended for rocks, boulders, debris and irregular loads. The Superlift is modular: an SL12000 body plus tooling, such as the SL12000 large pipe tines (PL48T72). Forklift adapters — including a 20K unit — mount Kenco tooling to fork carriages, and the Actuators category covers the actuation components sold separately.

Reading a Kenco Model Number

The numeric portion of a Kenco model designates rated capacity in pounds, and the suffix on the long-form SKU carries the grip range. Confirm the rating on the individual product page before you buy; the pattern below is drawn from the listings where we hold full specifications.

Choosing Between Families

Start with the load, not the machine. Barrier sections and bin blocks go to the KL family; round concrete pipe goes to PL or PH; flat and boxed precast goes to ML; unshaped rock and demolition debris goes to MG. Then check duty level: the capacity ladder inside each family exists so you are not buying a 30,000 lb hook for 3,500 lb work, or vice versa. Site constraints decide the rest — low-profile barrier work needs the matching low-profile lift, grade-critical pipe laying favors the SL self-leveling hooks, and a yard running forklifts rather than excavators needs a forklift adapter in the mix. If you already own a Superlift or Multilift body, price the tooling and leg sets before you price a whole second unit.

Ownership: Parts, Freight and Standards

Accessories are the biggest slice of our Kenco listings at 52 items, which is what keeps this equipment in service: pads, tines, legs, pins and wear parts are ordered individually rather than as a whole new assembly. As an authorized Kenco dealer, we order parts and warranty items through the manufacturer.

Plan on freight. The MG12000 Rocklift Grapple lists a shipping weight of roughly 1,000 lb (454 kg) and shipping dimensions of 115″ × 48″ × 52″ — that is an LTL shipment needing a dock or a forklift at delivery, not a parcel. Small accessories at the low end of the price span ship conventionally. Give us the delivery address and receiving capability when you request a quote and we will price the freight with the unit.

These are below-the-hook lifting devices, a class covered by ASME B30.20, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers standard that sets inspection, marking and operating requirements for such devices. Confirm the rated-load marking on the unit you receive and follow the manufacturer's inspection interval before each shift.
