Choose a mechanical pipe hook like the PH12000 or PH18000 when your excavator or crane approaches the pipe squarely and you want the simplest, lowest-maintenance grip. Choose a self-leveling model such as the PH9000SL or PH3500SL when pipe orientation varies and you need the hook to seat level automatically.
Match the attachment's rated capacity and grip range to the heaviest unit you'll set and its width or inside diameter. A KL16000 barrier lift and a PL8500 pipe lift serve very different loads.
