FAQ about this model
What working widths does this bucket come in?
It is offered in working widths from 60" to 78". Choose the width based on your machine's tire or track width and the space you work in. A bucket narrower than the loader leaves the tires running outside the cut, while a wider one clears the tracks but needs more room in tight yards and on a trailer.
How much horsepower does my skid steer need?
Loflin recommends 70 or more horsepower. That reflects the bucket's reinforced construction and weight rather than any single dimension. A lighter machine may lift it empty but will struggle to fill and carry it, and stability suffers with the extra weight out front. The specifications do not list bucket weight or heaped capacity, so check your loader's rated operating capacity before ordering.
Will it fit my machine?
It uses a universal skid steer quick attach mount, the industry-standard attachment plate found on most skid steers and compact track loaders. If your machine has a proprietary or older coupler, confirm the plate pattern before ordering. The specifications do not list compatibility with individual makes or models, so verify the mount against your own loader rather than assuming it matches.
What makes this an extra heavy duty bucket?
The cutting edge is 1" thick and the side plates are 1/4" thick steel, over a body of reinforced heavy gauge steel with structural bracing. The thicker edge holds its shape longer when scraping hard surfaces or loading abrasive material, and the bracing resists spreading and flexing under side loads. That is the main difference from a standard dirt bucket.
What does the low profile design do for me?
It lowers the back of the bucket so you can see the cutting edge from the cab. That visibility helps with grading, backdragging and loading trucks, where knowing exactly where the edge sits matters. The tradeoff is a shallower shape than a tall-back bucket, so it favors precision work over maximum volume per pass.
How is it finished, and what maintenance does it need?
The bucket is powder coated. Powder coat holds up better than wet paint, but expect the cutting edge and the inside of the bucket to wear to bare steel in normal use. Keep the mounting plate and coupler pockets clear of packed dirt and debris so the loader's locking pins seat fully every time you attach it, and check the edge for wear.
