Loflin Fabrication builds work attachments for skid steers, mini skid steers, mini excavators and compact tractors. Vovlift is an authorized Loflin Fabrication dealer, and we currently list 67 active items from the line with prices running from $3 to $7,500. The range splits into root grapples and grapple buckets, brush cutters, dirt and material buckets, grading and snow tools, and a few specialty pieces — a mini auger, a heavy-duty tree boom and a tractor-to-skid-steer quick attach adapter. Grapples are offered in stepped duty levels, so you can match the build to how hard the machine actually works.

Loflin Fabrication builds hydraulic and non-hydraulic attachments for four carrier classes: full-size skid steer loaders, mini skid steers, mini excavators and compact tractors. There is no machine line here — the company's output is the working end of a loader. Vovlift carries 67 active Loflin items, and the catalog sorts into five groups: root grapples and grapple buckets, brush cutters, dirt and material buckets, grading and snow tools, and a small set of specialty attachments including a mini auger, a heavy-duty skid steer tree boom and a tractor-to-skid-steer quick attach adapter. Listed prices run from $3 at the small end to $7,500 for the largest units.
Grapples are the deepest part of the line, and Loflin separates them by duty level rather than by size alone. For full-size skid steers the root grapple ladder runs Standard Duty, Medium Duty, Xtra Heavy Duty and then Monster. The same logic applies to the closed-bottom grapple buckets: a Standard Duty Grapple Bucket at the base, with the Xtra Heavy Duty Grapple Bucket and Xtra Heavy Duty Rock Grapple Bucket above it. Alongside those sit purpose-shaped variants — the Skid Steer Vertical Root Grapple, the Stump Bucket Grapple, the Old Style Rock Bucket with teeth, and the Mini Rock Bucket Grapple and Compact Tractor Rock Bucket Grapple for smaller carriers.
Where our product data publishes figures, they are worth comparing directly:
| Model | Published force | Build detail | Fit notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monster Skid Steer Root Grapple | 7,500 lbs grappling force | 1/2" thick steel, oversized greasable pins, independent cylinders | Skid steers under 75 HP |
| Monster Root Grapple | Up to 7,500 lbs clamping force | Flat floor design, Parker hose and fittings, versatile tine spacing | Machines rated 75 HP or less |
| Skid Steer Vertical Root Grapple | 9,500 lbs grappling force | 1.5" steel tines, 2" x 10" cylinders, 1.25" greasable pins | 54" standard; 72", 78", 84" and custom widths |
| Xtra Heavy Duty Rock Grapple Bucket | Not published in our data | 1" independent and outside tines, 1/2" steel tines, 2" x 10" cylinders | 31 7/16" opening width, universal quick attach |
The choice between an open-tine root grapple and a grapple bucket comes down to what you are moving. Tines let dirt and fines fall through, which is what you want clearing brush, roots and storm debris. A closed grapple bucket holds material, so it doubles as a loading bucket for rock, mulch or spoil. The Vertical Root Grapple is the one to look at for tall, loose loads — brush piles and stacked limbs — where a vertical clamp holds the stack against the frame.
Four cutters cover three carrier types: Open-Front and Closed-Front Skid Steer Brush Cutters for full-size loaders, plus a Mini Skid Steer Brushcutter and a Mini Excavator Brushcutter. Both full-size decks are built on 1/4" reinforced steel with heat-treated forged steel blades that cut bi-directionally, and both are direct drive rather than belt driven. The Open-Front model is offered in 60" and 72" working widths and uses a one-piece heat-treated forged-steel axle with a geroller-style hydraulic motor whose displacement varies with the flow it is given.
Front design is the real decision. An open front feeds standing material into the blade path and clears cut stems forward, which suits fence lines and heavier standing brush. The closed front keeps material under the deck and directs debris into a mulched pile, leaving a cleaner finish on lot cleanup and right-of-way work. Check your loader's auxiliary flow in GPM before choosing — the motor is sized to flow, and an underfed cutter loses blade speed in heavy material.
The bucket group is broader than most attachment lines and leans agricultural in places. Low profile buckets come in Standard Duty and Xtra Heavy Duty versions alongside the base Skid Steer Low Profile Bucket. A 4-In-1 Combo Bucket adds clamshell function for grading, dozing, grappling and loading with one tool. Livestock and poultry operations are served directly by the Skid Steer Manure Bucket, Cake Manure Bucket, Turkey Litter Bucket and Snow and Litter Bucket. Rock buckets appear as the Skid Steer Rock Bucket and the Old Style Rock Bucket with teeth, and there is a Skid Steer Stump Bucket for digging out root balls, plus the Greg Loflin Bucket and a Mini Front Dump Bucket for smaller machines.
For surface work the line includes a Tractor Land Leveler and a Mini Land Plane for driveway and pad maintenance, a Mini Skid Steer Dozer Blade, and a Skid Steer Snow Pusher for winter lots. The Heavy-Duty Skid Steer Tree Boom turns a loader into a lifting machine for balled trees and awkward loads; if you lift with it on a jobsite, rate the load against your loader's capacity chart and against the below-the-hook lifting device requirements ASME publishes in B30.20.
Start with the machine, not the attachment. Loflin labels its smaller tools plainly — Mini Skid Steer, Mini Excavator, Mini, Compact Tractor — and those are not simply narrower versions of the skid steer parts, because the mounting interface differs. The full-size skid steer attachments in our data use a universal skid steer quick attach system, and the Monster grapples are specified for machines rated 75 HP or less, so a higher-horsepower loader owner should confirm fit rather than assume the biggest grapple is the right one. If you run both a tractor and a skid steer, the Tractor to Skid Steer Quick Attach Adapter lets one set of attachments serve both.
Vovlift is an authorized Loflin Fabrication dealer, so units arrive with the factory warranty intact and replacement parts — tines, blades, pins, cylinders, hoses — are ordered through the same channel. The Monster Root Grapple is specified with Parker hose and fittings and is listed as made in the U.S.A., and powder coat finish is offered as an option on the Monster skid steer grapple. Freight cost and lead time vary by model and destination; send us the model, your machine make and model, and a delivery ZIP, and we will confirm both before you order.
