FAQ about this model
How much can the DVL1000-Pro lift, and how is the load held?
Maximum lifting capacity is 1000 kg (2200 lbs). The load is carried by ten adjustable suction pads, each 200 mm (7.87 inches) in diameter, spread across the frame so weight is distributed rather than concentrated at a few points. Two independent vacuum circuits feed the pads, so vacuum integrity is maintained if one circuit develops a fault.
What are the dimensions and weight of the lifter itself?
Overall dimensions are 1800 mm x 800 mm x 300 mm (L x W x H), and the unit weighs approximately 180 kg (397 lbs). Add that 180 kg to your intended load when sizing the crane or carrier you suspend it from, because the lifter's own weight counts against the machine's rated capacity at your working radius.
How is it powered, and how long does it run per charge?
It runs on an integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, so no trailing power cable or external supply is required. Estimated battery life is 8-10 hours of continuous operation, with an estimated charging time of 4-6 hours. A battery status indicator is built in. The specifications do not list a swappable spare pack, so plan charging around shifts.
How is the lifter operated, and what safety features are included?
Operation is by wireless RF remote, which lets the operator keep a working distance from the suspended load. A low vacuum alarm gives both visual and audible warning if suction pressure drops, and a separate indicator shows battery status. Vacuum lifters are below-the-hook lifting devices addressed by ASME B30.20, so apply your own inspection and operator training program.
Can the pads be repositioned for different panel sizes?
Yes. The ten pads detach and reposition on the frame, so pad spacing can be matched to different material dimensions and geometries. Each pad is 200 mm (7.87 inches) in diameter, and vacuum is regulated to hold suction through both the lifting and the placement part of the cycle. The specifications do not list approved materials or surface finishes.
Who is this size of lifter suited to, and who is it not?
It suits handling of large glass and panel material where a 1000 kg (2200 lbs) rating and a 1800 mm frame are useful. It is less suited to small or narrow pieces that cannot span enough of the ten pads to be held safely, and to any surface the pads cannot form a seal against, such as rough or porous material.
