FAQ about this model
How much weight can the HH-B10 lift?
It is rated for 1 Ton, which is 2000 lbs. Overload is handled by a friction clutch, which slips instead of letting the hoist keep pulling a load beyond its rating. Calculate your load including slings, spreader bars and any below-hook attachment, and keep the total within 2000 lbs on every lift.
What power supply does this hoist need?
Single phase, either 115V or 230V. It leaves the factory wired for 115V and is adjustable to 230V. Decide which voltage you are running before installation, and have a qualified electrician confirm the circuit and carry out the changeover so the supply matches how the unit is actually wired.
How high and how fast does it lift?
Lift height is 84 ft at a lift speed of 5 FPM. That speed is slow and steady, so the hoist suits controlled, precise positioning rather than high-cycle repetitive work. It runs two chain falls and suspends from a top hook, so check your headroom and the strength of the anchor point above that hook before ordering.
Can it run in an unheated warehouse or cold storage?
Its operating temperature range is -4° to +104° F, which covers most unheated warehouses, docks and cold-weather sites. The product data covers temperature only, not rain, washdown or corrosive atmospheres. If the hoist will sit outdoors or in a wet area, confirm the enclosure rating separately rather than assuming the temperature range implies weather protection.
How does the hoist hold a load when it stops?
Through an electromagnetic AC brake, which sets when motor power drops and holds the suspended load in position. The friction clutch is separate and deals with overload, not holding. ASME publishes B30.16, the safety standard for overhead hoists, which calls for scheduled inspection of brakes, load chain and hooks — build that into your maintenance routine.
What warranty and what load chain does it come with?
The warranty is 12 months. Ask for the written warranty document if you need the exclusions and claim process, since the product data lists the duration only. The load chain is Grade 80 FEC Japanese chain. Keep it clean and lubricated, inspect it for wear and stretch, and match any replacement to the manufacturer's specification.
