FAQ about this model
How much weight can this trailer carry?
The rated load capacity is 2000 kg (4400 lbs). That is the working load the trailer is built to carry, separate from its own unladen mass of 127 kg (280 lbs). The main frame is heavy-gauge structural steel, listed as ASTM A36 equivalent, and welded for rigidity. Confirm your heaviest single slab or stack falls within the 2000 kg rating before ordering.
What are the overall dimensions, and will it fit through my doorways and aisles?
Overall external dimensions are 2464 mm x 1092 mm x 1524 mm (97 x 43 x 60 inches) for length, width and height. The 1092 mm (43 inch) width is the figure to check against door openings and aisle clearances, and the 1524 mm (60 inch) height against low headroom. All four casters swivel, so it can be turned in place rather than needing a wide arc.
What slab thicknesses does the adjustable A-frame handle?
The A-frame spacing adjusts from 254 mm to 508 mm (10 to 20 inches). That range sets how far apart the frames sit, so you can close the spacing for thinner panels or open it for thicker slabs and stacked loads. Setting the spacing to match the load keeps the material upright and supported rather than leaning, which is what keeps it stable in transit.
Does it need power or compressed air to operate?
No. This is a manually pushed trailer with no motor, hydraulics or air supply required. Movement is on four heavy-duty swivel casters with industrial-grade polyurethane wheels, so it is steered by hand. Each of the four casters has its own locking brake, letting you immobilise the trailer completely for loading, unloading and storage. There are no electrical or pneumatic connections to plan for.
How is the material protected from damage, and what finishes are available?
High-density rubber strips are fitted to the A-frames and vertical poles, so the material rests against rubber rather than bare steel to limit abrasion and impact marking. The steel itself has an electrostatically applied powder-coat finish for resistance to chipping, scratching and corrosion. Two finishes are offered: Industrial Blue (AMPT9743-B) and Industrial White (AMPT9743-W). Specify the code when ordering.
Who is this trailer suited to, and who should look elsewhere?
It suits stone, glass and construction operations moving flat-panel materials such as slabs and sheets that need vertical support. Because mobility is provided by casters rather than road wheels, it is intended for moving loads within a facility, yard or job site. The specifications state no towing, highway or vehicle-mounted use, so do not treat it as a towable trailer. Loads over 2000 kg (4400 lbs) need different equipment.
