Vovlift stocks 43 wheel balancers, tire changers and tire changer and balancer combos from Katool, priced from $199 to $10,449. The range covers manual balancing for low-volume bays, wheel-clamp tire changer and balancer combo packages for passenger and light commercial vehicles, a heavy duty truck wheel balancer for 10″–30″ rims, and supporting equipment including rim straighteners, a rim polisher and a 3D alignment machine. Compare by maximum rim diameter, rim width range, power supply and available shop air before you order, and check that the changer and balancer in a combo cover the same wheel sizes.

A wheel balancer spins a mounted tire-and-rim assembly, measures where the assembly is heavy, and tells the technician how much corrective weight to add and where to place it. Static imbalance produces a vertical hop; dynamic imbalance — weight offset across the width of the wheel — produces the side-to-side shimmy a driver feels in the steering wheel or seat at highway speed. Balancing is a separate operation from mounting, which is why most of this collection sells as a Katool tire changer and balancer package: the changer breaks the bead and mounts the tire, the balancer finishes the job. Buying the pair together also guarantees the two machines cover overlapping wheel sizes, which is easy to get wrong when sourcing them separately.
Start with the wheels you actually service every week, not the outlier you might see once a year. Four figures decide the machine: maximum rim diameter, rim width range, maximum overall wheel diameter (tire included), and maximum wheel weight. A large-diameter rim with a low-profile tire and a small-diameter rim with a tall sidewall can produce the same overall wheel diameter, so check that spec separately from rim size.
Next, decide between manual and powered balancing. A manual balancer such as the Katool KT-710G (110 V) suits low-volume shops, mobile operations and second bays where throughput matters less than floor cost. Higher-volume tire work justifies a powered balancer paired with a wheel-clamp changer, because the labor saved per wheel is what pays for the machine.
Finally, look at how the wheel mounts. Most balancing complaints that get blamed on the machine are really centering errors — a damaged cone, a worn shaft, hub-centric wheels mounted on the wrong cone, or dirt and old weight adhesive on the mounting face. Several combos in this collection ship with mounting adaptors for that reason.
These figures come from our product data for the models listed. Specifications not shown here are on the individual product pages.

Beyond the models above, the collection pairs the KT-T800, KT-T810, KT-T830, KT-T835, KT-T850 and KT-T900 changers with the KT-B700, KT-B750 and KT-B760 balancers in various combinations, many supplied with mounting adaptors. The KT-T810 is offered with all three balancers, which makes it the usual starting point for a shop that wants a single-source package.
Commercial truck wheels are a different job from passenger work: heavier assemblies, larger rims and different mounting hardware. The KT-B795L heavy duty truck wheel balancer covers 10″–30″ rims with a 330 lbs capacity. Note that OSHA 1910.177 specifically governs servicing multi-piece and single-piece rim wheels on trucks, buses, trailers and off-road machines, including required employee training and the use of restraining devices for multi-piece rims — review it before adding truck tire work to a passenger-car bay.
For two-wheeler work, the KT-MC2 adaptor mounts motorcycle wheels on the balancer shaft and fits most standard balancers. The collection also includes the KT-WL69 hydraulic rim and wheel straightening machine for 10″–22.5″ wheels, the KT-WL75 rim straightener with cutting tool, the KT-RPM80 dual-motor rim polishing machine for wheels up to 24″, and the AV533 3D wheel alignment machine with dual cameras. A bent rim will not balance cleanly no matter how good the balancer is, so straightening capability is worth considering if you serve areas with rough roads.
Check three things before delivery. Electrical: the changers and balancers listed above run on single-phase 110–120 V, so confirm the branch circuit and outlet with a licensed electrician under NFPA 70 (the National Electrical Code). Compressed air: the KT-T830 and KT-T835 changers specify 0.8–1.0 MPa air pressure, and the bead breakers on the tilt-arm changers are pneumatic, so the compressor has to hold pressure through a full mounting cycle, not just reach it once. Floor: these machines need level concrete, anchoring per the manufacturer's instructions, and clearance around the changer for the swing or tilt arm plus room to roll wheels in and out.
Tire servicing equipment is not plug-and-play. OSHA 1910.177 requires employers to train and evaluate employees who service rim wheels on the equipment being used, and to keep the equipment in safe operating condition. Beyond compliance, the recurring mistakes are practical: buying a balancer whose rim range is narrower than the changer's clamping range, ignoring maximum wheel weight when the shop takes on light commercial vehicles, skipping cone and shaft maintenance, balancing a wheel that still carries old weights or caked debris, and failing to re-torque lug nuts to the vehicle manufacturer's specified value after installation. Sorting these out at purchase time is cheaper than sorting them out on comebacks.
