FAQ about this model
What sizes and models are available?
There are four models: XD-72, XD-78, XD-84 and XD-96, spanning an outside width range of 72" to 96". Height OD is 24" and depth OD is 34", so the vertical and front-to-back dimensions stay constant and only the width changes between models. Choose a width that matches or slightly exceeds your loader's tire or track width.
How much material does the bucket hold?
Heaped capacity ranges from 18.2 to 24.2 cu ft across the four models, with the wider models holding more. These are heaped figures, not struck, so expect less volume with dense or wet material that will not mound above the rim. For dense loads such as aggregate, weight rather than volume will usually be your limit.
How much does the bucket weigh?
Bucket weight ranges from 717 to 922 lbs depending on model, with the 96" model at the top of that range. Add this to the weight of the material you plan to carry and compare the total against your loader's rated operating capacity. On smaller machines, an empty extreme duty bucket already uses a meaningful share of that rating.
Will it mount to my skid steer?
The bucket is offered in T and BOB quick-attach configurations, so you select the version that matches your loader's attachment plate. Check which plate style your machine uses before ordering, since the two are not interchangeable. Confirm the mount type on your loader rather than assuming it from the machine brand, as plates are sometimes changed over a machine's life.
What kind of work is this bucket built for?
It is intended for construction, demolition, landscaping, aggregate handling and grading. The Extreme Duty series uses heavy-gauge, extra-thick reinforced steel, which suits repeated loading of abrasive and heavy material such as rock, rubble and aggregate. For light material like mulch or snow, a lighter bucket with more volume per pound is usually the better choice.
How does the extreme duty build differ from a standard bucket?
The difference is material thickness. This series is built from heavy-gauge, extra-thick reinforced steel rather than the lighter plate used on general-purpose buckets, which is why weights run from 717 to 922 lbs. The trade-off is that more of your loader's rated capacity goes to the bucket itself, so payload per pass is lower than with a lighter bucket of the same width.
