The Star Industries Trash and Waste Hopper is a heavy-duty steel skid steer attachment for hauling and dumping debris on job sites, farms, and commercial properties. It comes in three sizes (48"-84" wide, 1.00-1.75 cu yd capacity, 558-775 lbs) and attaches via Quick-Attach System, with optional castor wheels for easy positioning.

Star Industries has created a line of durable and mobile "Trash & Waste Hopper" attachments to make it easier to pick up, move around and dispose of debris on job sites, farms and commercial properties. Made with heavy-duty steel, each of the hoppers was built to take the wear and tear of repeated use as well as large amounts of debris. The "C" model (e.g., 151-C, 152-C, 153-C) has castor wheels that can be used to easily position the unit and to provide easy movement. They attach to compatible Skid Steer Loader Quick-Attach Systems for a secure fit during both load and dump operations. By using these units, users will see an improvement in productivity and in site safety when cleaning up construction debris, disposing of landscaping debris or removing waste from a site.

FAQ about this model

What capacities are available, and how do I pick one?

Three capacities are offered: 1.00 cu yd on the Model 151, 1.50 cu yd on the Model 152 and 1.75 cu yd on the Model 153. Width grows with capacity, so the larger models need more clearance through doors, aisles and around dumpsters. Pick the capacity that matches your typical debris volume and the width your site can accommodate.

How does the hopper attach to my machine?

It mounts using a skid steer/loader quick-attach system, so it fits machines set up with that standard attach plate. Match the width to the machine as well: 48" on the Model 151, 72" on the Model 152 and 84" on the Model 153. A hopper much wider than the carrier is harder to position and load.

How much does the hopper weigh empty?

Empty weights are 558 lbs for the Model 151, 700 lbs for the Model 152 and 775 lbs for the Model 153. That is the hopper alone; the material you load adds to it. Compare the combined figure against your loader's rated capacity at the height and reach you will actually be lifting and dumping.

What is the difference between the standard and C models?

C models are the same hoppers supplied with castor wheels. The wheels let the unit sit and be rolled on the ground once it is detached, which suits work where the hopper is parked at a collection point, filled by hand over time, then picked up and dumped. Standard 151, 152 and 153 models come without wheels.

What is it made of, and what maintenance does it need?

The hopper is built from heavy-duty steel, and the specifications list no hydraulic or electrical parts, so upkeep is inspection-based. Check the quick-attach mounting, welds and body for damage before use, and empty the hopper completely so material does not pack into the corners and reduce usable volume. On C models, confirm the castor wheels still roll freely.
