FAQ about this model

What is the rated capacity of this jib boom?

The Star Industries 1360B-5FXL is rated for 6,000 lbs overall capacity. At each specific hook position along the boom (4'0", 7'0", 9'0", and 12'0"), the maximum load is listed as 2,000 lbs. Check both figures against your load weight and where along the boom you need to lift it.

How far does the boom reach and can that length be adjusted?

This is a fixed-length jib with a 5 ft reach. It is not telescoping or adjustable, so if your application needs a different reach, you would need a different model.

How does the jib attach to our forklift or telehandler?

It is fork mounted, meaning it slides onto your forks and requires no permanent attachment or welding. The fork pockets measure 30" long x 7½" x 3½" ID, with 24" center-to-center spacing (pocket ends open), so confirm your fork dimensions and carriage width match before ordering.

What is the jib boom made of?

It's built from heavy duty steel. No additional coating, plating, or finish details are specified beyond the material itself.

Does the load rating change depending on where I hook the load along the boom?

Yes. The 1360B-5FXL lists a maximum load of 2,000 lbs at each of four positions: 4'0", 7'0", 9'0", and 12'0". These are the only positions with published ratings, so plan your rigging point accordingly.
