The Star Industries Telehandler Wide Back Truss Boom is a heavy-duty lifting attachment for use with telehandlers that provides an additional reach for the placement of trusses, beams, and other suspended loads in construction environments. Each boom attaches directly to a telehandler with a wide, quick tach coupler which allows it to be used on telehandlers such as JCB Q-Fit, Gehl Dynacarrier, and most similar model telehandlers. The boom provides extended reach capabilities and a 2000-pound lifting capacity, allowing operators to position their loads at the greatest possible height. There are two boom length options available; Model 1325 and Model 1335, allowing operators to have the flexibility to complete a wide variety of lifting tasks during the process of constructing buildings and material placement.

A wide back quick-tach design is provided for all booms to ensure that they can attach to telehandlers that have a requirement for wider coupler spacing.
Each boom features heavy-duty square tube steel construction to provide the strength and durability required to perform the demanding lifting tasks associated with job site lifting operations.
All booms include a swivel hook with safety latch to help provide a safe lifting operation and control over the load being lifted.
The boom option will also increase the reach of your telehandler by providing an option for extended boom reach which will allow you to lift and place trusses and other types of materials up to 15 feet.
This boom attachment was specifically designed for construction and structural work including the installation of wooden trusses, metal building frames, and post frame structures.

FAQ about this model

How much can this truss boom lift?

Rated capacity is 2,000 lbs. That rating belongs to the boom itself. The usable capacity of the machine and boom together is also governed by your telehandler's load chart, which reduces allowable weight as the load is carried further forward and higher. Check that chart at the reach and height you plan to work at before assuming the full 2,000 lbs is available.

What are the dimensions, and how do the 1325 and 1335 differ?

The Model 1325 has a 12 ft effective length, a 36 in effective height, and a 45 in back width. Two model options are offered, 1325 and 1335. The published dimensions here cover the 1325 only, so if you are matching the boom to a specific door opening, trailer, or storage rack, request the 1335 figures before ordering.

Will it fit my telehandler?

It mounts with a wide quick-tach coupler and fits JCB Q-Fit, Gehl Dynacarrier, and similar telehandler couplers. This is the wide-back version, so the back plate is sized for those larger telehandler carriages. If your machine uses a different coupler pattern, confirm the carriage type first. The only hardware supplied with the boom is the swivel hook with safety latch.

How high can it place a load?

Maximum lift and placement height is up to 15 ft. Actual working height on your site depends on your telehandler's own boom reach and how the load is rigged, so treat 15 ft as the boom's rated placement figure rather than a guaranteed height for every machine and setup.

What is included and what is it made from?

A swivel hook with safety latch is included, and the boom is built from heavy-duty square tube steel. The swivel lets a suspended load rotate without twisting the rigging, and the latch keeps slings or chains seated in the hook. Slings, chains, and any adapters for a different coupler style are not part of the package.

What maintenance and inspection does it need?

Inspect it before each use, the same as any other lifting attachment. Look at the welds and the square tube for cracks, bends, or corrosion, check that the swivel hook turns freely and is not stretched or gouged, and confirm the safety latch closes fully. Verify the quick-tach coupler is fully engaged and pinned before lifting anything.
