The Star Industries Safety Work Platform is a heavy-duty steel platform that mounts to a skid steer, loader, telehandler, or forklift to create a safe elevated work area. Standard model 1204C measures 4' x 4', weighs 350 lbs, and holds a 1,000 lbs load capacity, featuring guardrails, toe boards, and self-closing gates for worker safety.

The Star Industries Safety Work Platforms are designed to create a safe and stable area of operation above ground level for both workers and equipment when mounted on the appropriate skid steer, loader or telehandler. Constructed from heavy duty steel, the star industries safety work platforms are built to withstand the rigors of your job site. The platforms all have some form of safety feature that will protect the worker including guard rails and toe boards to protect the workers feet. All of the SI-1250's have added safety enhancements and load capacities than can be used for heavier loads. These platforms are an excellent choice for any application where control of access and safety is a concern. They also provide easy mounting and unmounting and reliable performance to improve production and reduce the risk of falls.

What is the rated capacity, and does that include the workers?

The rated capacity is 1,000 lbs, and that figure covers everything on the deck at once — personnel, tools, and materials. The platform's own net weight of 350 lbs is separate from the load rating. Check the rated capacity of your carrier machine at the height you plan to work before putting the platform into service.

What size is the platform, and are other sizes available?

Model 1204C measures 4' x 4'. Star Industries also lists 6 ft, 8 ft, and 10 ft size options, so you can match the deck to the work area and to the reach of your machine. Measure aisle width, door openings, and storage space before choosing one of the longer decks.

What machines can this platform be mounted to?

It mounts to skid steers, loaders, telehandlers, and forklifts. The specifications name those four carrier types but do not identify particular makes or models, so confirm your machine's attachment interface and its rated capacity yourself. OSHA requires that a platform used to lift workers be secured to the lifting machine and used according to the manufacturer's instructions.

What safety features are included?

Guardrails, toe boards, and self-closing gates are included. The guardrails enclose the working area, the toe boards keep tools and loose material from sliding off the deck edge onto people below, and the gates close on their own so the entry point is not left open once a worker steps onto the platform.

Does the platform need power, hydraulics, or an electrical connection?

No. It has no motor, pump, or electrical connection of its own. The platform is a passive structure that is raised and lowered entirely by the carrier machine, using that machine's normal controls. There is nothing to plug in, charge, or connect to auxiliary hydraulics, which keeps setup limited to mounting and securing the platform.

What is it made of, and what maintenance does it need?

It is built from heavy duty steel. Upkeep is mainly inspection: before each use, look over the guardrails, toe boards, gate hardware, welds, and mounting points for bent, cracked, loose, or missing parts, and keep the deck clear of debris. Steel construction means most damage is visible on a walk-around rather than hidden inside the structure.

How long will it take for my order to ship? When will I receive it?
