Product Overview

In short

The Makinex 1212-23kW 480V Generator is a heavy-duty portable power unit for demanding construction, industrial, and rental jobsites. It delivers 23kW with simultaneous 480V 3-phase and 120V single-phase output, using a brushless permanent magnet alternator for clean, stable power and an air-cooled twin-cylinder engine with electric key start for reliable, portable operation.

The Makinex 1212-23kW 480V Generator is a highly efficient and powerful portable generator that meets the power requirements of demanding jobsites. It provides 480 volts of clean, reliable 3 phase 480v output and has independent 120v single phase for auxillary loads. This makes it an ideal solution for many different types of applications in construction, industry and the rental industry. The high efficiency, permanent magnet, brushless alternator provides extremely low voltage variation when powering multiple tools or equipment at the same time. The generator's engine is a robust, air cooled, twin cylinder engine with electric key start which provides smooth, economical operation. The generator has a small foot print and integrated casters allowing for ease of transportation and placement next to the work area, eliminating the need for long cable runs to remote power sources. Designed for the professionals, the Makinex 1212-23kW 480V Generator will meet your demands for both portability and high power production.

FAQ about this model

What is the power output and voltage of this generator?

This unit produces 23kW of power output. It supplies 480V 3-phase power along with a 120V single-phase auxiliary output, so it can run larger 3-phase equipment while still providing a standard outlet for smaller tools.

What engine and alternator does it use?

It runs on an air-cooled, twin-cylinder engine with electric key start, available as either a Honda or Vanguard engine series. The alternator is a high-efficiency permanent magnet, brushless design, which typically means more stable power output and less maintenance than brush-type alternators.

Is the engine covered by a warranty?

Yes, the engine carries a 3-year warranty as listed in the product specifications. This covers the engine itself; no other warranty terms for the generator unit are specified.

How portable is this generator?

It has integrated casters and a small footprint, designed for moving around a jobsite rather than staying fixed in one location. Exact weight is not listed since it varies depending on which engine option (Honda or Vanguard) is fitted.

Can I run both 480V and 120V equipment at the same time?

Yes, the unit is built to supply 480V 3-phase power plus a 120V single-phase auxiliary output simultaneously, so you can power a 3-phase load and a standard single-phase tool or accessory from the same generator.
