How much splitting force does this unit produce, and what wood can it handle?

It produces 32 tons of splitting force. That puts it at the upper end of homeowner and small-commercial splitters, so it is aimed at large diameter rounds, knotty pieces and dense hardwood rather than light kindling work. Boss Industrial does not publish a maximum log length or diameter for the WD32T, so measure your typical rounds before ordering.

Can it split in both horizontal and vertical positions?

Yes, the WD32T operates horizontally and vertically. Horizontal is the normal working position for rounds you can lift onto the beam. Vertical lets you roll heavy rounds up to the wedge instead of lifting them, which matters if you are processing large diameter pieces alone. The unit uses a heavy-duty full beam in both positions.

What engine does it use, and does it need electrical power?
