Warehouse equipment is the layer between your dock doors and your racking: the carts, ramps, wrappers, balers, conveyors and scales that keep loads moving without hand labor. Every item in this collection is built by Vestil, with pricing that starts around $384. You will find powered and traction-drive carts, mini and aluminum yard ramps, steel container ramps, portable pallet inverters, stretch wrap and strapping machines, cardboard balers, drum compactors, expandable roller conveyors, low profile scales, dock barricades, wire cages and adjustable-height work benches. Compare by load weight, power source, and the floor space you actually have.

Warehouse equipment is a purchasing bucket, not a product type, and the buying logic changes completely from one group to the next. The Vestil range on this page sorts into a few working families:
Most buyers arrive looking for one machine and find the real constraint sits somewhere else in that list — a cart that cannot get through a door, or a wrapper with nowhere to stage finished pallets. Scope the whole flow before you price a single unit.
Rated capacity covers the entire load, including the pallet, drum, container or fixture — not just the product. Weigh a worst-case unit load rather than an average one. A few reference points from our product data:
| Model | What it is | Rated capacity | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| PTM-GPT | Gas powered trailer mover | 12,000 lb | $8,393.94 |
| YRM-05-7514 | Mini yard ramp, 75 x 14 in. | 5,000 lb | $7,811.86 |
| PI-P-3000-3254 | Low profile portable pallet inverter | 3,000 lb | $18,373.38 |
| HYD-ROLL-47-DC | Roll lifter transporter, 47 in., 12VDC | Not listed | $7,446.33 |
| ASM-3123 | Automatic high speed strapping machine | Not listed | $8,562.62 |
Power source usually decides where a machine can work. DC and battery units such as the 12VDC roll transporter run clean indoors but need a charging window between shifts; OSHA 1910.178(g) sets requirements for battery charging and changing areas for powered industrial trucks, including ventilation and fire protection. Gas units belong outdoors or in well-ventilated space — OSHA 1910.1000 establishes permissible exposure limits for air contaminants including carbon monoxide, which is the practical reason combustion engines and closed rooms do not mix.
Ramp selection turns on the elevation change and the vehicle you are servicing. Our YRM-05-7514 mini yard ramp is rated 5,000 lb at 75 x 14 in. — a compact grade transition, not a substitute for a full-length yard ramp when a counterbalance truck has to enter a trailer. Aluminum yard ramps are offered with guard rail options in 30 ft and 36 ft both-sides configurations, plus a pneumatic tire and DC power lift option. Steel container ramps with a flip-over bridge address the container sill; a steel approach ramp at 48 x 60 in. handles small changes in floor height.
The most common sizing error is rating a ramp against the load only. Rate it against the forklift plus the load plus the operator. On the dock side, OSHA 1910.178(k) requires the brakes of a truck or trailer to be set and wheel chocks or an equivalent restraint in place during loading, and fixed jacks to support a semitrailer when the tractor is uncoupled. Dock barricades and driver cages support that same discipline physically.
Volume decides the machine. A semi-automatic pallet probe strapping machine suits intermittent runs; the ASM-3123 automatic high speed strapping machine at $8,562.62 is built for continuous output. Stretch wrap machines are available with a scale option, which lets you weigh while wrapping instead of handling the pallet twice. On the waste side, the CBB-3000-37 cardboard baler produces a 60 x 30 x 42 in. bale with a listed capacity of 1,100 and prices at $18,464.34; pail crushers and 55-gallon drum compactors do the same job for rigid containers.
Powered packaging and baling machinery falls under OSHA 1910.212, the general machine guarding rule requiring point-of-operation guarding to protect operators. Where a light curtain is used in place of a physical barrier, ANSI B11.19 covers performance requirements for safeguarding devices — worth reading before you specify the Hbd safety light curtain option.
Plan the aisle before the machine. OSHA 1910.176(a) requires sufficient safe clearance in aisles and passageways where mechanical handling equipment is used, and 1910.176(b) requires stored material to be stacked and secured against sliding or collapse. Pallet footprint drives most layout math: pallet dimensional standards are published under the ANSI MH1 family, and the 48 x 40 in. GMA pallet is the reference most US distribution operations plan around — confirm it against your own loads rather than assuming.
Two site items catch buyers late. LP tank trucks store and move fuel cylinders, and OSHA 1910.110 together with NFPA 58, the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, governs LP-Gas storage and handling. Electrically powered equipment and infrared heaters need a confirmed branch circuit and disconnect — NFPA 70, the National Electrical Code, sets those requirements. Where forklifts operate around any of this equipment, OSHA 1910.178(l) requires employer-provided operator training and evaluation.
The model number is the specification — dimensions, capacity and price are tied to it, so keep it on the purchase order. Options are separate line items in this catalog, not upgrades bundled into a base unit: guard rail packages, the pneumatic tire and DC power lift yard ramp option, the safety light curtain, hydraulic box dumper gate options at 36, 48 and 60 in. dump heights, and the stretch wrap scale option all price independently. Order them with the base machine so they arrive together.
The Vestil models detailed above are listed as Made in USA by Vestil Manufacturing with a 1-Year Limited warranty; confirm terms on the individual product page, since they are stated per model. Finally, measure the path in — door width, aisle width, ceiling height and turning clearance — and plan offload for the large items. Yard ramps, balers and storage buildings ship freight and assume you have equipment on site to receive them.
