Vovlift's heavy equipment catalog covers the lifting and material handling machines that contractors and warehouses buy outright rather than rent by the month: tracked spider lifts, rough terrain and drivable scissor lifts, vertical mast lifts, electric forklifts, reach and turret trucks, tracked dumpers, and concrete pumps and placement booms. Brands include IMER, Ballymore, EKKO, EOSLift, GNT, Makinex, All Lift Cranes, Bison Lifting, Vestil, Yardbeast and AMGO, with prices from $16,649 to $177,650. Compare by working height, rated capacity and power source — diesel, LPG, gasoline, lithium or 48V electric — then check the site constraints that actually decide the machine.

View full detailsHeavy equipment is a broad label, so it helps to sort this page by what the machine is built to do rather than by brand. Access equipment raises people and tools; material handling equipment moves and stacks loads; placement equipment moves concrete and spoil. Most buyers land here comparing two or three families at once, usually because a single job has both an access problem and a material problem.
| Family | Typical job | First spec to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Tracked spider lifts (IMER IM R series) | Access over soft ground, stairs, atriums, tight gates | Working height and horizontal outreach |
| Rough terrain scissor lifts (IMER IM RT series) | Outdoor deck work at height with crew and materials | Working height and platform length |
| Drivable scissor and vertical mast lifts (Ballymore) | Indoor maintenance, ceilings, racking, MEP work | Platform height against platform capacity |
| Forklifts, reach and turret trucks (EKKO, EOSLift, GNT) | Receiving, stacking, narrow aisle picking | Rated capacity and lift height |
| Tracked dumpers and mini dumpers (IMER, Makinex) | Moving spoil, block and mix where a truck cannot go | Operating load and dump style |
| Concrete pumps and placement booms (IMER) | Slabs, footings, plaster and grout work | Engine power and pump type |
These two get cross shopped constantly, and they solve different problems. An electric crawler lift — a spider lift — is narrow, tracked and outrigger stabilized, so it drives through a gate or doorway, spreads its legs and reaches up and out over an obstruction. The IMER IM R 19 Li reaches 62 ft working height and 56 ft platform height with 32 ft of max side reach and 355 degrees of non-continuous turret rotation, on rubber tracks with hydraulically adjustable width and AC, air and water outlets at the platform. The larger IM R 23 goes to 75 ft working height, 68 ft platform height and up to 39 ft of horizontal outreach with automatic leveling outriggers.
A rough terrain scissor lift trades reach for deck area and payload. The IMER IM 8756 RT E gives 62 ft working height on a 48V traction battery with 4WD hydraulic drive, 33 inch rough terrain tires and a manual deck extension taking platform length to 22 ft 4 in; the diesel IM 8756 RT D covers the same height with a Yanmar engine and an oscillating front axle. Choose the scissor when the crew and materials go up together and the ground is drivable. Choose the crawler when you need to get through a restriction, sit on a slab or lawn, or reach over something. Crawlers also need setup time on every reposition — outriggers down, level, then work — which matters on jobs with many short moves.
Inside a building, aisle width usually decides the truck before capacity does. Counterbalanced forklifts like the EKKO EK50LP, an LPG unit rated 10,000 lbs with 185 in lift height, need the widest right angle stack aisle but handle trailers, yards and heavy pallets without special floor work. Stand-up reach trucks such as the EKKO EK18RR (4,000 lb capacity, 275 in lift height) and the GNT GSR40-Li lithium reach truck (4,000 lb) pull the load inside the wheelbase to work narrower aisles at height. Turret trucks go further still: the EOSLift LCA15 is a stand-up electric turret truck rated 3,306 lb to 177.16 in, designed for very narrow aisle racking where the mast never turns. The EOSLift LFC20 movable mast truck, rated 4,409 lb, sits between those roles.
Power source is a site decision, not a preference. OSHA 1910.178 assigns designations to powered industrial trucks based on their power source and restricts which designations may be used in specific atmospheres, so verify what your building and insurer allow before ordering. Internal combustion machines — diesel on the IM R 23 and IM 8756 RT D, LPG on the EK50LP — run all shift with a refuel and pull hard outdoors, but need ventilation and exhaust management indoors. Lithium and battery electric units, including the IM R 19 Li, the GNT GSF40Li rider forklift and the Makinex HG E2000 mini dumper, run clean and quiet indoors but need charging infrastructure and a realistic view of duty cycle. Bi-energy machines split the difference: the IMER 1128632 pairs a Honda GX800 gasoline engine with an electric motor, so it can drive outside and work off power inside.
Operator qualification is a legal requirement, not a nice to have. OSHA 1910.178(l) requires training, evaluation and refresher evaluation at least once every three years for powered industrial truck operators, and ANSI/ITSDF B56.1 is the safety standard for low lift and high lift trucks. For aerial work platforms, the ANSI/SAIA A92 suite applies — A92.20 for design, A92.22 for safe use including a written risk assessment, and A92.24 for operator training and familiarization. OSHA 1926.453 requires a fall protection lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift on a construction site. On the ground side, outrigger machines transfer their weight through small pads, so confirm slab capacity, basement voids, curbs and soft fill with the site engineer and use manufacturer supplied pads.
Equipment on this page runs from $16,649 to $177,650, and the spread reflects height, drive system and duty rather than brand alone. Three recurring mistakes: buying on working height instead of outreach — height gets you level with the work, outreach gets you to it; ignoring platform capacity — the Ballymore DSL-45 reaches 45 ft platform height at 500 lb capacity while the DSL-32 stops at 32 ft but carries 1,000 lb, and the IMER 1128632 platform is rated 510 lbs, which is two people and very little else; and underestimating logistics — the Gerris 800 Lithium placement boom weighs 5,512 lb, measures 32 by 193 by 80 in and ships freight class 92.5, so delivery access and offload need planning before the order, not after.
