FAQ about this model
What is the maximum load capacity and at what load center?
The EPC30A is rated for 5000 lbs at a load center of 35.83 inches. This means the 5000 lb rating applies when the load's center of gravity sits within 35.83 inches from the fork face, which covers most standard pallets. Loads with a further-out center of gravity will reduce the usable capacity below the rated figure.
What are the fork dimensions and will they fit standard pallets?
Fork size is 1.97 inches thick, 6.69 inches wide per fork, and 45.3 inches long, with an overall fork width of 26.97 inches. Lowered fork height is 3.35 inches and minimum ground clearance is 0.98 inches. These dimensions fit standard 4-way and 2-way pallets designed for these fork spacings.
How much space does this pallet jack need to maneuver in an aisle?
Aisle width requirements are 107.48 inches for a 39.37 x 47.24 inch pallet loaded crossways, and 109.45 inches for a 31.5 x 47.24 inch pallet loaded lengthways. Turning radius is 89.68 inches. Measure your narrowest aisle against these figures before ordering.
What powers the unit and how long does a charge last?
The EPC30A runs on a 24V/360Ah battery weighing 680 lbs (±5%), driven by a 1.5 kW drive motor and a 0.8 kW lift motor with AC drive control. The specs don't include runtime or charge time, so plan around the amp-hour rating for your daily duty cycle.
How is the unit operated and how does it stop?
It's a stand-on rider unit with EPS steering and an electromagnetic brake. The operator stands on the platform to drive and steer rather than walking behind, which suits higher-volume or longer-distance pallet moves. Travel speed is 5.2 km/h laden and 5.5 km/h unladen.
How much does the unit weigh, and how high does it lift?
Service weight with battery is 2400 lbs, and lifting height is 7.88 inches with a lifting speed of 23 mm/s under load. Overall unit height is 42.91 inches. Confirm your floor and dock load ratings can support the 2400 lb service weight plus the rated 5000 lb payload.
