FAQ about this model
How much weight can the EA15A-138 lift, and at what load center?
It is rated for 3,300 lbs at a 20 in load center. The load center is measured from the fork face to the center of gravity of the load, so a load whose weight sits farther out than 20 in reduces what the stacker can safely handle. The forks are 45 in long, and each individual fork is 4 in wide.
What overhead clearance do I need for the 138 in lift height?
Measure against 167 in, not 138 in. Maximum lift height is 138 in, but the mast extends to 167 in at full lift, so check your lowest overhead obstruction — door headers, sprinkler lines, racking beams, lighting. Lowered mast height is 95 in, which is the figure that matters for travelling through doorways and under low ceilings.
Will it fit my pallets?
Check your pallet against two adjustable ranges. The straddle legs adjust from 35 in to 51 in and pass outside the pallet, while the forks adjust from 8.66 in to 32 in overall width and enter it. Lowered fork height is 2.6 in. Confirm both your pallet footprint and any load overhang fall inside these ranges before ordering.
What are the power and charging requirements?
It runs on a 12V/120Ah battery driving a 2.2 kW lift motor, with a 12V/15A charger built into the unit, so no separate charging equipment is needed. Only the lift is powered — pushing, pulling and steering are done by hand using the ergonomic handle. Run time between charges depends on how many lifts you make and how heavy the loads are.
How much floor space does it need to operate?
Overall length is 70 in, maximum overall width is 59 in, and the turning radius is 59 in. Plan aisle width around that turning radius plus any part of the load that extends beyond the forks. Service weight is 1,234 lbs empty, which is the number to check against mezzanine ratings, lift gates and elevator capacities.
Who is this stacker a good fit for, and who should look at something else?
It suits operations with moderate stacking volume where an operator moves the unit by hand but needs powered lift up to 138 in — stockrooms, small warehouses, order staging areas. Because it is a semi-electric straddle stacker with no powered drive, it is a poor fit for long travel distances or high move counts per shift. The frame is steel with robotic welding.
