FAQ about this model
How much can the EK30TLP lift, and at what load center?
It is rated for 6,000 lbs at a 24-inch load center. That rating assumes the load's center of gravity sits no more than 24 inches from the fork face, so measure a typical pallet before assuming it fits — deeper or unevenly packed loads reduce what you can safely carry. Maximum lift height is 185 inches.
What are the mast heights, and will it clear my doors?
The mast is 86.2 inches tall lowered, which is the figure to check against door openings and low ceilings. Fully raised, overall height with forks lifted is 234 inches, so confirm ceiling and sprinkler clearance at your highest pick. Free lift height is 37.9 inches — how far the forks rise before the mast starts to extend.
What fuel and power does it use?
It runs on propane (LPG) with a Kubota or PSI 2.4L engine rated 63 HP at 2,700 rpm. There is no charging equipment to install; you swap LP tanks instead, which keeps the truck working across shifts. A 12-volt, 60 Ah battery handles starting and electrical. Top travel speed is 11 mph loaded and 12.1 mph unloaded.
How much space does it need, and how much does it weigh?
Overall width is 48.2 inches, wheelbase is 66.9 inches, and length is 106 inches without forks or 151 inches with them. Minimum ground clearance at the mast is 4.7 inches, which matters on ramps and dock plates. Service weight is 10,108 lbs — verify that your floors, mezzanines and dock levelers carry that plus your load.
Is this suited to indoor or outdoor use?
It is intended for warehouses, manufacturing, loading docks and outdoor yards. The solid pneumatic tires (28x9-15-12PR front, 6.50-10-10PR rear) give a larger footprint for uneven or gravel surfaces than cushion tires, and cannot go flat. As a propane sit-down rider, it is not the right truck for narrow-aisle racking or enclosed spaces without adequate ventilation.
What is included, and how is it operated and maintained?
It ships with an overhead guard, load backrest and 42 x 4.9 x 1.7-inch forks. Operation is sit-down rider with power steering and a hydraulic floor-pedal service brake. OSHA requires operators of powered industrial trucks to be trained and evaluated before use. Daily checks should cover the LP tank and connections, hydraulics, tires, mast chains and brakes.
