FAQ about this model
How much weight can the EK16A-177 lift, and at what load center?
It is rated at 3,500 lb with a 24 in load center. That rating assumes the load's center of gravity sits no farther than 24 in from the fork face, so deeper or unevenly loaded pallets will use up less than the full rating. The stacker's own service weight is 5,200 lb, which matters for floor loading, mezzanines, and elevators.
What is the maximum lift height, and will the mast clear my doorways?
Forks lift to 177 in, and the mast measures 81 in when fully lowered. Check the 81 in lowered height against your lowest doorway, sprinkler head, and trailer opening rather than the 177 in figure. Lift speed is 4.71 in/s loaded and 10.2 in/s empty; lowering runs 11.8 in/s loaded and 15.7 in/s empty.
How much aisle and floor space does it need?
Overall width is 42.1 in and overall length is 107.1 in, on a 49.2 in wheelbase with a 58.9 in turning radius. Use the turning radius as the starting point when checking your aisles, then add clearance for the load itself, which extends beyond the machine. The three-wheel layout is what keeps the turning figure this tight.
What are the battery and charging requirements?
It runs on a 24V/320Ah battery with a 24V/50A charger. The drive motor is AC 2.2 kW and the lift motor is 3.3 kW. The specifications do not list the charger's AC input requirement or a runtime per charge, so confirm the outlet type and circuit at your site before delivery rather than assuming a standard wall receptacle will do.
What do the forks handle, and can they be adjusted?
Forks measure 1.4 in thick, 4 in wide, and 42.1 in long, and adjust between 7.9 in and 26 in of spread. Side shift is handled through a 3-way valve, letting the operator align with a pallet without repositioning the truck. Mast tilt is 2° forward and 4° back for load stability during travel and placement.
What kind of site is this stacker suited to?
It suits indoor work on smooth, level floors. It has cushion tires and a rated gradient of 6% laden and 10% unladen, so ramps beyond that and broken or unpaved outdoor surfaces are outside its range. As with any powered industrial truck, OSHA requires that operators be trained and evaluated before running the equipment.
