FAQ about this model
How much can the EP20E lift, and what does the load center rating mean for my pallets?
It is rated for 4,400 lb at a 24 in load center. That second figure matters as much as the weight: the rating assumes the load's center of gravity sits 24 in from the fork face, so a deep or unevenly packed load reduces what you can safely carry. The truck itself weighs 755 lb with the battery.
Will it fit our aisles and dock space?
Overall length is 71.2 in and overall width is 28 in, with a 53 in wheelbase and a 60 in turning radius. Measure your narrowest aisle and tightest turn against those numbers before ordering, since a walk-behind truck also needs room for the operator behind the tiller. Width at the forks is a 27 in outside spread.
What are the fork dimensions and how high do they lift?
Forks are 48 in long, 6 in wide and 2 in thick, spaced 27 in across the outside. Lowered fork height is 3.3 in and lifting height is 7.9 in. Compare the fork length and spread against your pallet openings, and the lowered height against the clearance under the pallets you handle.
What power does it need, and what is the battery?
The EP20E runs on a 24 V lithium battery rated 100 Ah and comes with a 24V/30A charger. The drive motor is 1.3 kW and the lift motor is 0.8 kW, using AC motor speed control. Plan a charging position near a suitable outlet for the supplied charger. Confirm circuit requirements with your electrician before installation.
Can it handle ramps and inclines?
Gradeability is 8% with a load and 15% without, so it will manage a modest dock ramp but is not intended for steep grades. Lifting speed is 0.8 in/s laden and 1.1 in/s unladen; lowering is 1.5 in/s either way. Braking is electromagnetic, which applies automatically when the truck is not being driven.
Who is this truck a good fit for, and who should look elsewhere?
It suits warehouses, distribution centers, retail backrooms and loading docks doing daily pallet transport on flat, finished floors. Both lift and drive are electric and it is operated walk-behind from a tiller, so there is no riding platform and no seat. Noise is 68 dB(A) at the operator position. Operations needing steep grades or stacking height should consider another class of truck.
