FAQ about this model
How much can the EK30SLP lift, and at what load center?
It is rated for 6,000 lbs at a 24 in load center. That rating assumes the load's center of gravity sits no more than 24 in out from the fork face — longer or unevenly packed loads push the center further forward and reduce what the truck can safely handle. Maximum lift height is 189 in.
Will this forklift fit my aisles, doorways and trailers?
The truck is 44 in wide, 97.8 in long without forks and 140 in with forks fitted, and the mast stands 88 in overall when lowered. Wheelbase is 58 in and minimum ground clearance at the mast is 3.5 in. Check those figures against your door heights, aisle widths, ramps and dock plate transitions before ordering.
What does it run on, and does anything need charging?
It runs on LPG (propane), driven by a Mitsubishi 4G64 (PSI) engine rated at 64 HP at 2,700 rpm. There is no traction battery to charge overnight — the 12 V / 60 Ah battery only handles starting and electrical loads. You will need propane tank storage and a cylinder exchange routine on site. The service brake is a hydraulic floor pedal.
What surfaces are the pattern cushion tires suited to?
Pattern cushion tires suit smooth, paved surfaces such as finished warehouse concrete and indoor dock areas. Front wheels are 21x8-15 and rear wheels 16x6-10.5. With only 3.5 in of ground clearance at the mast, this configuration is a poor fit for gravel, broken asphalt or unimproved yards, where pneumatic tires are normally specified instead.
How much free lift does the mast have, and why does it matter?
Free lift is 39 in, so the forks rise 39 in before the mast sections begin to extend upward. That figure matters when you are working inside trailers, sea containers or under low ceilings, where the mast has no room to telescope. Lowered, the mast measures 88 in overall; fully raised, it reaches the 189 in lift height.
What are the fork dimensions and how much does the truck weigh?
Forks measure 42 in long, 4.9 in wide and 1.77 in thick, with a load backrest 48 in above the fork surface. Service weight is 10,785 lbs, which is the figure your floor slab, ramps, dock plates and any freight elevator must be rated to carry. Maximum travel speed is 10.8 mph, loaded or unloaded.
