FAQ about this model
What sizes does this fork bar come in?
Three sizes, sold as models FP22548, FP22560 and FP22572. Carriage width out to out is 48", 60" or 72", with a matching shaft overall length of 51.5", 63.5" or 75.5". Order the width that matches the carriage opening on your machine, since the shaft length follows from it and is not sold separately.
What machines does it mount to?
It uses a pin type carriage, which fits telehandlers and rough terrain forklifts. It is a shaft mounted design, so the bar pins into the carriage and the forks ride on the shaft. Check your carriage pin spacing and width against the 48", 60" or 72" out to out dimensions before ordering.
What is the shaft diameter, and will my existing forks fit?
The finished shaft diameter is 2.25". Any shaft mounted fork with a matching 2.25" bore will slide onto the bar. Measure the bore of the forks you plan to reuse before ordering, because forks built for a different shaft size will not seat correctly on this bar.
Can the forks be repositioned along the bar?
Yes. The bar uses a welded and adjustable collar for positioning, so fork spacing can be set to suit the load rather than being fixed at one width. The welded collar acts as the fixed reference point, and the adjustable collar lets you locate the forks along the shaft for the pallet or load you are handling.
How much does the bar weigh?
Net weight is 60 lbs. for the 48" bar, 74 lbs. for the 60" bar and 87 lbs. for the 72" bar. That is the bar alone and does not include forks. Plan for two people or a lift assist when mounting the larger sizes, and account for the added weight on the carriage.
What is it made of?
High strength steel, with the forks heat treated for added durability. It is built as a heavy duty shaft mounted fork bar for telehandler and rough terrain forklift service. Inspect the shaft, collars and pin bores regularly for wear, cracks or deformation, and take the bar out of service if any are found.
