FAQ about this model
How much weight can the Auxx-One lift?
It is rated to lift 400 lbs. That covers most single items stored overhead in a garage, such as a bike, kayak, canoe or Jeep hardtop. The lift prevents lifting beyond its rated capacity, and it runs on dual 3/16" vinyl-coated 7x19 aircraft cables with a tensile strength of 4,200 lbs per cable. Do not use it for loads above 400 lbs.
What are the beam dimensions, and how do I attach a load to it?
The lifting beam is a galvanized steel E-Beam, 5 ft long by 5 in high. Slots run along it at 2 in on center, each 2-13/32 in high. Adjustable straps, hooks and carabiners drop into those slots, so you can position the attachment points to match where your load balances. Measure your item and your ceiling space against those dimensions first.
How is the lift operated?
You operate it with the included wireless remote. The remote allows programmable high and low limits, so you set the top and bottom stopping points once and the beam returns to those same positions on every cycle. The dual aircraft cables reduce twisting and spinning during travel, which helps keep long items such as kayaks and canoes level as they rise.
What are the power requirements?
The lift uses a single tubular motor rated at 680 watts, with an IP44 rating on the motor. The product specifications do not state a voltage, amperage or plug type, so check the manufacturer's installation documentation before running power to the mounting location. Plan for an accessible power source near where the beam will be installed.
What comes in the box?
You get the wireless remote, the 5-foot galvanized E-Beam, dual aircraft cables, adjustable straps, hooks, carabiners and extension frames. The straps, hooks and carabiners are the hardware for securing a load to the beam slots, and the extension frames let the beam carry wider items. The specifications do not list hardware for fastening the unit to your ceiling structure.
Who is this lift a good fit for, and who should look at something else?
It fits garage owners storing gear at or under 400 lbs, such as bikes, kayaks, canoes and Jeep hardtops. It is not the right choice if your load exceeds 400 lbs, if the item cannot be balanced across a 5 ft beam even with the extension frames, or if you need a lift rated for industrial duty cycles.
